Are you finding as I am, it is getting more difficult to contemplate God during certain periods of time as this exponentially fast paced Anti-Catholic world is disintegrating?

During this past week, work is just nuts as I went from an eight hour shift to a twelve hour shift.  A temp I working with left the without telling anyone as she was already on her sixth day of working twelve hours a day. I don't blame her for leaving without telling anyone as she was working on one of the more physically demanding machines for a at least two out of the 51/2 days she worked.

Before the temp left the machine, I had three other temps from other machines helping me while they were waiting for the other machine to start the next job. Shortly after this temp left, the other three temps had to go back to their machines leaving me with no help. Soon I had Three people from  the machine I was working on, including the operator helping make sure we kept the machine running till they got a replacement for the temp.

Someone at work heard there was an ad in the local paper looking for temps willing to work from 1 up to 7 twelve hour days where I work.

Production is falling behind with so many people operators learning new machines, with having so many new temps and people not showing up to work for a day because work ethic is so bad at this place. Even more of the operators do not care as much about their machine counts anymore.

The more this place falls behind in production, the more they will make us work more overtime days which will further erode the little bit of morale that is left in this place.

It is definitely harder for me to contemplate God while working a twelve hour shift versus the  eight hour shift I used to work. I now know I will be missing mass every other Sunday.

I BELIEVE GOD WILL INTERVINE IN THIS FALLEN WORLD SOON.

Matthew 24:22 found phrase
And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened.

Mark 13:20 found phrase
And unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect which he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

2 Timothy 2:10 found phrase
Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation, which is in Christ Jesus, with heavenly glory.

  • I thought I was the only one, glad to know I'm not alone.  Finding "quiet" time for prayer and spiritual reading is virtually impossible.  The life-goes-crazy syndrome seems to happen every Lent, but this year is the worst.  My only relief from the demands made on my time is to go to bed and then I fall asleep praying my rosary!
