  • I do not usually hate people. But I do have a problem of sometimes thinking people are evil.

  • Contemplate St. Luke 5:15 - 16.  No need to hate everyone, my friend.
Do what Jesus did in the Holy Scriptures, as what is written in Saint Matthew's Gospel, chapter 6 verse 6. As human beings, we always need time to recuse ourselves from others in order to be closer to our Lord and ask him for spiritual rejuvenation.  St. John's Gospel, chapter 13, v. 34-35 gives us an answer for our disappointment with our fellow human beings.

  • They say; "Never met a person I didn't like". Nothing is 100%, but that saying comes pretty close, I'd say 98%. I can now remember 2 people I didn't like after getting to know them and I'm 63. Both were a drag. The key is really meet the person.

  • Remind me of this meme:
If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

  • In all seriousness, I don't think you really mean HATE. Hatred can be defined as wishing evil to others. That means really wishing them to lose their souls and go to Hell. Personally, I have not experienced that feeling towards another human being. General dislike or sometimes contempt is more like it and this unfortunately, almost on a daily basis. Sometimes you think and even say to yourself that you hate someone but it is only in a moment of rage. That is not really hatred, but only the effects of unbridled temporary ire.

Perhaps only the devils in Hell are the appropiate recipients for our hatred.

Maybe it is because we really do live among evil people.

I used to be a part of the crowd and did evil things and everyone else I knew did the same evil things. But then I converted and stopped living such a life. But now because I have known so much evil and so many evil people, I sometimes have the problem of assuming other people are evil even if I do not know that they are indeed evil.  For example, I will see a young woman wearing provocative clothing or acting a little too intimate with a man who is not her husband and I will say to myself "she is a slut" without knowing if she really is or not. Isn't that a sin?

The quote, "I never met a man I didn't like" is commonly attributed to Will Rogers.  Will Rogers was a big time freemason who went down to Mexico for a long visit, actually a train ride through the country with the President, the notorious freemason president Plutarco Elias Calles at the height of the government's war against the Cristeros.  The purpose of the trip -- a "good" will public relations stunt on the part of America's unofficial ambassador of "good" will -- Will Rogers.

  • I'll let you in on a little secret!  If you want your prayers answered, pray for the people you dislike and then ask your petition.  God listens better when we pray for those we dislike.
    Try it!
    Please pray for my soul.

As difficult as it actually is, this is indeed the command of Our Lord Jesus Christ:

    Quote from: Matthew, 5, 44:48
I say to you, Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you: That you may be the children of your Father who is in heaven, who maketh his sun to rise upon the good, and bad, and raineth upon the just and the unjust.

For if you love them that love you, what reward shall you have? do not even the publicans this? And if you salute your brethren only, what do you more? do not also the heathens this? Be you therefore perfect, as also your heavenly Father is perfect.
If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.
