  • Well, you ARE here, after all. That means either you derive strange joy from being heckled and chewed out and called a heretic about every 2nd post, or else you, too, must be incredibly bored.
I renounce any and all of my former views against what the Church through Pope Leo XIII said, "This, then, is the teaching of the Catholic Church ...no one of the several forms of government is in itself condemned, inasmuch as none of them contains anythi

  • The good news is that that means this site has no 666th member!  It's a blessed site.
Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

  • OMGosh! Are you serious? Littlerose must have been a troll. She kept directing people to FE, railed about posters being protestant when SHE doesnt believe in Our Lady's Perpetual Virginity (which is a DEFINED DOCTRINE OF CHURCH!). I mean look at the thread she decided to flip out on!  :tv-disturbed:

As in I hope that littlerose just had a momentary lapse of reason and that she wasn't a troll and she asks for forgiveness and is let back on the forum.  :smirk:

  • It's sad, but it seems like sometimes people get suicidal about their account, and try to get banned at all costs.

It happened a couple years ago with two teenagers on here (same family). Within 6 hours of each other, they were both banned -- it's like they set about to "get it done" and they weren't going to stop until they were banned.

In such a case, what can I do? I'm literally forced to ban some people. It's almost like a substitute for a "delete account" function. Maybe for such people, I should ban them and then re-instate them a month later. They might never come back, but at least it wouldn't look like so many people are banned. It would just be me helping them to leave when they needed so badly to.

  • Even if LR was able to forgive and foget everything that upset her previously about this board, I don't think she'd like it here anyhow.

Her emotional side is very strong (a good trait for a woman to have!), but that doesn't blend well with this board which has a strong predominance toward reason and debate.

I'd never direct anyone toward FE. My experience with Incorruptibles is limited, but I think she'd enjoy that board much more. (Said in case she's reading this.)

Yes, I wasn't saying that you were wrong in banning her (actually I don't even know what she said). Its just that, especially online where you can do it anonymously, you can get angry and post whatever you want, even if don't actually mean it or you aren't thinking clearly. Its a bit like when you get home from work or school and you've had a long day and you just snap at people even if you don't really mean it and you feel horrible afterward. Its even worse online when you can puff yourself up with fancy words and hide behind usernames, etc....I know this from personal experience having been banned (rightfully so I may add) from several forums, sometimes multiple times.

I wouldn't be upset if you had just banned another RobertRawhide or his ilk, but I kinda enjoyed littlerose's posts (I liked the ones on her little birdies! I love parakeets...). But yes, maybe a lighter forum would be better for her.

    EDIT:

btw DO NOT let my parents read this article!  :laugh1:

    What about SpouseOfJesus?

There is nothing wrong with either men or women have a strong emotional side but that is no means something irrational necessarily.

One can have a very strong emotional personality and still have his emotions regulated and dominated by their reason and judgment (as they are supposed to). If you know any Hispanics or Latins you know what Im talking about. My priest, Fr.Zendejas, is a good example of this.

She would not be tolerated at Incorruptibles. They have a rule against "forum-wars".

FE is her forum. She's said that time and time again. She should stay there.
