I was at a Trad chapel where one of the parishioners committed ѕυιcιdє. She was on some trip with her boyfriend (was the trip voluntary or involuntary? I don't remember all the details) But she shot herself with a gun. She was a regular parishioner of that chapel (even if she lived a bit far away, and wasn't there *every* week)
I also know of a Trad Catholic who was very pious as a young man -- I mean extremely pious, dedicated to Padre Pio, prayed more than anyone around him -- married a Novus Ordo woman in the Catholic Church, had 2 kids (one of them 2 months after the wedding), and is now "dating" a woman he was friends with. I noticed on his Facebook page that his current flame was quite familiar with him even at the time of his wedding! She was ribbing him like an old friend might. He doesn't say what happened to his wife, but he's not exactly a "scrub my FB page" sort. He also waited 6+ months to have one of his children baptized.
Another Trad young man had an affair (all the way to adultery) with a fellow Trad, who was a married woman with a bunch of children.
I know of a Trad family in which the dad was very southern (mutton chop sideburns and all) -- one of their relatives came to Mass once, and we were shocked to see a nαzι swastika on her forehead.
I know of an older lady who was taught all about the cօռspιʀαcιҽs (Jєωs, evil public schools, wicked U.S. presidents, etc.) and she was objectively quite well informed -- but she was always drinking (or smelling of) vodka and one day she fell down the stairs and died.
I also know of another Trad, a woman, who was married in the Church to a non-Catholic, had 4 children, then ran away from her home, into the arms of a jobless, homeless non-Catholic man, where she has remained until the present day. She had another 2 children with him.
Also, it's a fact that there are several meth labs in the small town of St. Mary's, KS.
A friend in St. Mary's KS told me how his fellow parishioners often "open up" to him, since he is a gregarious and outgoing personality. They take him for "one of themselves" since he seems to be so much fun. What they don't know is that he's also a devout and serious Catholic. So after the "straight arrows" leave the party, they open up to him about what they'd like to do next at the party. Let's just say the suggestions were quite scandalous.
He also said that, in general, people keep to themselves in St. Mary's, because they are afraid of what they might find out about their fellow trads. So they prefer to keep the illusion alive that "we're all a bunch of saintly trads in our trad Disneyland".
Even priests are not exempt. Since priests are more rare, it's hard to give examples without giving away who it is. But I know of a priest who was completely traditional, got himself consecrated bishop, and then had a knack for ordaining or wanting to ordain A) the wrong people and B) married men.
I'm sure there are many other examples.
Long story short - the miseries of Trads are not all that different from the miseries of humanity at large. Going to Mass once a week on Sunday to hear the Tridentine Mass in a dead language doesn't transform a person to avoid all the problems his upbringing, environment, and free will might otherwise bring upon him.
Never let yourself think that Trads are somehow "special" or exempt from the laws of nature.
And my other point: WATCH and PRAY. Watch yourself. The battle isn't over until you're safely in heaven (or purgatory).
