Exactly. A modest home, a modest car or two, home cooked meals with as natural of selection as you can get, a yard full
chickens, 3-4 deer a year, a good life is still possible but the younger you start the better off you will be!

If you’re willing and able to buy a fixer upper house in rural Alabama, Mississippi, or Louisiana in a very rural area, and you know how to farm, this is a possibility. You’d have to check out the work (for cash) situation, and most importantly, accessibility to Mass.
