Latter.
You're suddenly a man of few words. I don't get you guys who will waste pages complaining about your inability to find "good girls", but have zero ability to say anything relatable. For all you know, there are a dozen young ladies reading this just waiting for you to talk about the champion barrow you raised last year or the cabbage bounty you just harvested. That perfect one for you might just be replying with a great sausage recipe and tips on how to get a good ferment on your kraut.

CathInfo matchmaking has been successful before, so you never know.

It's Saturday, what do your farming plans look like for the weekend? Our family will be picking up a batch of chicks next week. Can you give me any tips on how to keep them alive? We haven't had chickens in about a decade and the last ones were all killed by a dog or a fox or something.

It's good advice but most men will just google the answers rather than asking on a forum unless as a last resort.

Yes, and it's only getting worse. I met a new person this past week and while chatting she talked about how when she has an issue on her mind that she wants to really evaluate, she takes it up with ChatGPT.  And this lady is older than me, so she's tossing aside her abilities to engage with other people in favor of the easy fix of AI. (and teaching her kids that it's a good idea in the process)

I'm not saying you shouldn't ask Google facts you really need to know, but don't abandon the art of chit-chat and then complain that you can't meet nice people. And, by all means, do so in person if that's an option for you.

Best advice any man in his twenties and thirties can follow is to find something that keeps him occupied, that is wholesome, and not go worrying about finding a bride so quickly.

Modern economics are such that it takes longer for a man not only to build himself up economically, especially if he does not want to be in debt, and also his character.

The flesh gets a lot of guys super worried about this, but that will always be there. St. Jerome said in his 80s he had never been as tempted in his life in relation to this sin.

What a man can't get as easily is the patient suffering through trials that gives him CHARACTER. The kind of character that will give you a far superior ability to deal with all your future wife and children's various problems and vicissitudes, than a man who just just took the first thing he could get at 20. Not that these men don't learn suffering too. But our ideal is St. Joseph and nobody reputable said he married before 33. So there's that to think about.

Great advice, I think the same even though I may follow it poorly

Re: Concupiscence of the flesh, we have the consolation that however terrible it may be no one is tempted beyond his ability to resist..but it must be hammered home to young men to keep custody of the eyes and flee from all occasions of sin against 6th/9th commandments! St. Jerome pray for us
