This is a Catholic issue because Catholics are under attack by the people who make up this society. This society has gone militantly atheist and hyper individualistic, it Hates the Catholic church and way of life, and my school / college is full of people who are going to hell and who are only for themselves and don't care about anyone else. Catholics say there is no sex allowed before marriage, I have stuck to this and am not married, and I don't have a GF, but students in my school slag me behind my back saying Im gαy because 1) don't have a gf and 2) am nice to everyone trying to convert them by example ( it doesn't work )

I was in prison and hospital last year and spent one year on the inside, before I was locked up I was a Catholic crusader who got into fights with atheists physically and took no sht from anyone, once I got put into hospital I started getting judged for my behaviour and given drugs and everything and I lost all my courage. I am a shadow of my former self, but would still die for my beliefs. If they knew what I had done in the past they would be afraid to be in the same room as me let alone spread insults.

What should I do about this problem. If I start issuing out slaps I will be banned from the school and locked up again. Should I just stop being nice to people and start making insults and throwing my weight around. I used to be the alpha male everywhere I go, now I am in the audience and it bothers me because I get this crap from atheists and cant do nothing about it. I don't believe in accepting this for mortifying grace reasons, I believe in fighting for the faith and they are damning other souls to hell by putting down the only one there who can save them.

Because if you have a great difficulty being in Ireland (a nominally Catholic country) without getting into fights and going to jail, then I would reckon the problem lies with you and your lack of prudence, rather than the people around you, who while they might not be trads are not exactly ardent God-haters.

If you were in Saudi Arabia or North Korea it would be one thing, but I very much doubt that living your faith in Ireland requires you to get into punch ups with people.

Yeah well I can tell ya that in this country the Catholic church is treated with nothing but apathy / contempt, and all Catholics live under a kind of a stigma. We are hated by the modern young generation. I am 28 and I am like the odd one out amongst other young people. They are to blame, it is them who live the evil lifestyles and who foist evil upon each other, they are all in concord because they are all just as evil on the inside as each other and they hate anyone who is not like them. Its like they are allergic to Christianity, they want nothing to do with it and if they come across Catholics they blaspheme God and attack the few who actually have some shread of ideals not like them.

Don't ever expect most trads to have your back.

We didn't get to this situation because Catholics supported each other in adversity. We got to it those who stand up their Faith are blamed for what happens to them.

Since there are not many places more Catholic than Eire I don't know what to say, other than don't move to Saudi Arabia.

John Grace certainly did not suggest it was that bad over there.

Their souls depend on me, if they don't respect me they don't respect Christ.
This is a problem all Catholics face. Their enemies hate the truth and hate those who are loyal to the truth. Since they wont listen to me I will ignore them and play them at their own game when I go back after my holidays. Time for a smoke. :smoke-pot:

And who is this John Grace guy? He has painted an image of Ireland being some bastion of the faith, ON THE CONTRARY! Its a wasteland! True Catholicism has been abandoned and survives only in places where modern Ireland doesn't extend its reach into the countryside. Almost all young people hate the church / don't care about God, the media is hard left, most older people have abandoned the church, only a minority remain going to mass and only a literally few dozen are practicing trad catholics. There are only 4 churches that do latin mass in the whole country. Ive met priests who hate everything the church stands for before 1965. These liberals think they can just suppress the faith and ridicule catholics and get away with it because "well pray for them" they trample the church daily and not so much as a whimper to fight back. Makes me sick. If I was a priest / bishop I would lose no time in condemning the evil in this country and lobbying others to start some sort of national crackdown on anti Catholic practice and attitude, because Im truly against just the scuм of humanity, all the liberals, they got to know their place, I challenge them next time.

John Grace was a poster here until recently. I don't think he saw Ireland as a perfect place, but he thought it was better than most other formerly Catholic countries in Europe.

He avoided having fights and jail somehow. You should PM him and see how he managed it. He still checks in here from time to time.

I don't wish to be offensive, but it does seem you do have difficulty with controlling anger. When you get into a physical fight over religion, your anger is in control, not the Holy Ghost. May I suggest you find a priest with whom you can take counsel? So far as behavior induced by psychotropic medication, don't worry about it, if you were truly deprived of reason or self-control against your will.
One simple, practical step you can take TODAY is to pray the Rosary. If that's too much, pray one decade. Still too much? Say three Hail Marys for self-control. Your Mother loves you, and wants to help you.

Jesus said to turn the other cheek. If you are getting into fights at school you are not doing the Catholic Church any favors. We should try to follow the Master, Jesus and be meek and humble of heart. Leading by example is more effective than you know. Sometimes you won't see the results right away. For exxample, Many year ago I gave a rosary to a friend who was a Protestant. Eight years later this person was recieved into the Catholic Church.
