I am in the state of... sin?

  •   I am now in the state of original sin. But there must be a difference between when you have just original sin, and when you have it with mortal/venial sins.
So if I am not mistaken, an unbaptized baby is more loved by God than a pagan criminal, though both of them lack baptism.
Now that I have commited mortal sins, is it possible to get rid of them by an act of perfect contrition, and just have the original blot?
Will God then love me more?

  • You mean the priest who used to be in your area never baptised you? I knew he was afraid of who was real Catholic and who was spying.

  • Your situation is that there is no priest for any of the sacraments. That is no different than is was for Catholics during persecution, like under Elizabeth of England. Certainly even if there is nobody willing to perform the rite of baptism, then this would count as Baptism of Desire right? And, then saying a daily Act of Contrition and making Spiritual Communion would be what you should do. I know for sure there are those on the board who can address this.

  • Dear Spouse,  I am certain many here will pray for you.  But yes, do your Perfect act of Contrition and don't forget the daily Rosary.

So many of us here squader the graces we have, and go through all of the public displays of piety without an ounce of love in their heart.

Don't let that liar the Devil tempt you to fear and discouragement.  God the Father will not abandon a soul who truly wishes to know, love, and serve Him.   You are living in extraordinary circuмstances, and Our Father knows this.  Try hard to be good!  We ALL fail in different ways!

Pray often to the Guardian Angels, all Holy Angels.  You will see that great things happen to assist you in your quest to become a member of the Church.
