How Catholics speak everyday is important. It must be different from that of the world. Our speech can be very much an indicator of who we are, aside from the distinction of languages. I notice that many Catholics seem to speak like anyone else in the world, but nonetheless, I am not saying Catholics should speak a different language altogether. Rather, there simply needs to be some adjustment and change in the terminology used. For example, not that it is intrinsically sinful, but saying words often like "dude" or "man" express a likeness to how the world speaks. I have, of course, used such kind of words myself, I believe, but I see that they are really not the most appropriate for Catholics to use. Some would most likely disagree with me or not see my point, but that should not be surprise considering man's fallen nature and how the world has become now. Human nature is good, yet fallen. It is in need of God's sanctifying grace, which can only be obtained through the Catholic Church from our Lord Jesus Christ's perpetual Sacrifice on the Cross.
