Because one takes a few tokes in the evening he is expected to like Bob Marley??--- most presumptive if you ask me.

After reviewing this topic I find it ironic to be accused of Sola Scriptura( which like Cavour's Free Church In A Free State and 'sede vacantism' doesn't really exist) simply for interpreting the words of the Bible literally.

IMHO, it is not a sin like using a hallucinogen (unless it is a powerful grade) because a hallucinogen is a doorway to the spiritual world outside the protection of the Holy Spirit, but I think marijuana is a lot like beer or wine, which must be used carefully.

The question of obeying the law is the more important side. If you consider that having a drug arrest record, even a minor one, will affect you for the rest of your life, then it would be a sin like "gluttony", in which one wrecks one's health for the sake of appetite.

Nowadays even menial jobs are subject to complete background checks, so are rental applications and scholarship applications, and these will turn up even traffic tickets. It would not be good stewardship to wreck your future for the sake of a minor relaxation that you could easily get in some law-abiding way.

Yea after much thinking on it i dont think is a right choice even if it isnt sinful (but it is). Now adays there is really a "low" grade like in the 70's. Everything if genetically altered to make it stronger. Furthermore, it is usually strong and leads you out the spiritual world. I also thought about the people who I knew were users and they werent very spritual and made bad decisions in other areas of life....hence a bad influence on me. I stay away from it and am now trying to help someone else get away from it.

P.S. I was also happy to hear that you are regularly saying the Rosary. Remember the Rosary is a weapon. You should carry a blessed Rosary with you at all times. Also consider consider being enrolled in the Confraternity of the Brown Scapular.

The Rosary and the Scapular were specifically requested by the Virgin when she appeared at Fatima in 1917.
