The heresy in Jansenist philosophy has been made manifest through this discussion-- which I did not begin.
Marijuana is bad for several reason, because it will make you love worldly things. When I smoked I always sinned with masturbation and porn because it tempted me the more, and I became gluttonous and ate a lot since its what it does, I always had a desire to listen to some kind of drug music, or playing a evil video games or watching a bad film.If a person will be damned he shall surely go on smoking marijuana, for it will lead him to all these kinds of sins above and even worse, fornication is not far off.
If Hietanen and SJT are correct then why is there no record of ANY Church authority condemning the practice of using MJ for pleasurable( or any other purpose). I do not think either of you understand that MJ is God's natural antidote to MK Ultra. There are reasons the Bible endorses the green herbs. Do either of you even know what MK Ultra is and has SJT ever actually used MJ?
Jesus and his followers also drank wine with their meals.I believe in moderation, natural herb or drink is not sinful, and in fact, has health benefits.I do not partake but I dont disparage the use either, when done discretionary and in moderation.
This is the first I have ever heard that Jesus was offered MJ before the crucifixtion. If Christ did participate in the use of MJ, I am sure that Golgotha was not the time or the place.
What a bunch of crap for SJT to compare this MJ discussion with the moments b4 The Tragedy and Jesus refusing to drink a potion of whatever sort. So Innocent-- how could my remark above be considered blasphemy as the substance is recommended by God-- acc to Moses at any rate. After the heat of the moment has passed, I now see where my remark may have been in poor taste but blasphemy is to say the least uncharitable.
You'll notice that Our Lord, before he was nailed to His Cross, refused the narcotic drink that the soldiers offered him. He refused to do what you are scandalizing others by recommending.
