True, would leave bad impression...but God gave us that plant for areason, maybe as a natural calming object as opposed to Big Pharma....I am divided.

For the record, I am ex-law enforcement officer and never have used illegal drugs or pot......

I also am tired of seeing a joint smoker go to jail, get shot or do the shooting of others.....

It is not a sin. It's just too scary to break the law.

I believe it is an unjust law and should be repealed.

I went to school on the West Coast where pot smoking was normal. Never, ever did I see the behavior associated with drunkenness among the faculty or grad students.

They ought to crimininalise aspertame; it's probably more destructive. :bob-marley:

I have never seen someone smoke pot and go out and beat and kill his wife like I have seen those that consume to much alcohol. The only thing that someone who smoked pot would kill would be a pizza before going to bed.

Yes, but unless you become a "farmer", how are you going to guarantee that the pot isn't laced with something dangerous?

It's an unacceptable risk, like skydiving.

Recreational usage is fine, but among the younger population it can easily get out of hand.

Aside from that, marijuana is illegal most places. Whether or not it is justified doesn't really matter in this case, because its not something that we are bound to do. Its just a source of pleasure that could be replaced with something legal like cigars or alcohol.
