  • I'm wondering what do you do for the Catholic counter revolution?

There are several options, praying, building a new Catholic culture, following old Catholic culture, boycotting modern practices that are corrupted, etc. Catholic culture includes music, publications and costumes, they should promote dignity, maturity and beauty.

It seems hardly anyone do them, no wonder the Church is in crisis. It's all talking talking but no action.

Doug Barry is a good faithful Catholic, he does a good job in promoting good ideas. But he doesn't contribute in building a new Catholic culture, on the contrary, he promotes wearing T shirts.  To modern men, T shirts are the norm, but compare it to traditional dress, and you'll see that it lacks respect.

  • There are a few people that come to my mind that have things to say about the Crisis of the Church.  I pay no attention to the money making people.  I do listen or read for the solution they have in mind.  I look for "Precious Blood", the Sacraments.  No, they just can't bring themselves to say the solution.  Then when I read, I read, "they", "them" referring to the enemy.  Who are they!  They are the hidden secret Jєω, hiding in secret societies, but we don't mention Jєω.  We pray for the conversion of Russia, maybe we really mean to say Jєω conversion.

    That is my 2 cents.

I don't see myself as working for "the Catholic counter revolution". That is simply not me and not my language.

I strive to live as best I can as a wife, mother and grandmother. I think my work is to offer all the difficulties, privations and sufferings in my life for the glory of God and the salvation of my neighbour, which of course includes family.

If you think of little St Therese, whose feast we have just celebrated, she did nothing notable or memorable. She spent all her adult life hidden and unknown, just doing her chores, and following the Carmelite rule, and suffering without complaint, and just loving God, until her death at 24. There was, according to her Carmelite sisters, nothing really much to write in her obituary. Yet she converted uncountable numbers of souls.

Of course for a lay person in the world there is much work to do. I do what I can but these days I am not able to do as much as I would like. I still answer a pregnancy helpline, and I do some time volunteering sorting books at charity shop. In the past I have visited prisons (there is none close by where  I live now). Run a prolife parish prayer / activity / education group. Homeschooled our children. Worked as a teacher on a mission. Hospitality also has played a big part in our lives. There is no end of things o do if you have energy and imagination.
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

    That's excellent.

I think having a Catholic culture is important. If we don't, we would be surrounded totally by pagan culture. The culture we encounter daily has a big influence on us, especially music. St John Bosco used music as a tool to help in his education work.

By really living the faith, thereby being an example to others. There are scarcely any Catholics really living the faith in my SSPX chapel anymore, let alone the world.

For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. Mat 24:24
