  • I would typically post this over at Fisheaters.  Something tells me I'll get a dozen furrowed brows with this statement/question.

    But I must admit...

I have often found that gαys are funny and amusing to watch for some weird reason.  Not that I think their entertainment should help to forward any gαy cause, or anything; though it usually does.  But listening to their music or watching them in a movie is sort of like watching some stringy court jester.  Perhaps it's a macabre fascination with weirdness.  For example, I once came across a video of Klaus Nomi.  This guy is totally weird and screwed up.  Yet, it's like watching a clown, and I keep watching.  Or listening to David Bowie, and watching someone impersonate him in a spoof.  These fellas are really odd.  Original, for sure.  But let's not forget... they are also endorsing sins that cry to Heaven for God's wrath.

So, is there a way for us to dissect this odd amusement with these ridiculous people?  For example, David Chappelle's spoof of Prince is often funny to me.  Prince was so weird during the 1980s.

    Any thoughts?

P.S.  This is not an endorsement of any of these people.  This thread, for me, is an exploration as to what would make watching these puny men amusing.

  • Well, I have noticed that many gαys (i.e Ellen Degenres) have a good sense of humor. That's the trap that many people fall for though, satan uses humor to lure people in. Not many people will want to accept gαys if they are just boring, wierd people. So satan uses humor to make them seem more acceptable.

    Or listening to David Bowie,...

He's married (at least in the eyes of the world). To a woman, no less!

  • They often are very funny .... Paul Lynde on "Bewitched" ... Back before Ellen Degeneris labeled herself ... we enjoyed her humor.  Her character of "Dory" in "Finding Nemo" was very funny .. and there are many other examples, and also how many times has an actor or comedian "acted gαy" and been very funny was well.  Now in that case, has anyone noticed that it's only the gαy man exaggerations that are funny and not the lesbian woman?  I don't mean just the observational humor of Ellen Degeneris.  But rather the so called stereotypical mannerisms and affectations of said individual.  Women ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs are not at all funny while gαy men often are or can be.

I've heard that humor often has it's source from pain.  And just like we notice that many Jєωιѕн comedians are hysterically funny, so are individuals that are set apart from society for any number of reasons ... so they become observers rather than active participants and they develop and refine a sense of humor as a way of communicating and making sense of their world.

  • Humor is also a way of making themselves likeable, to appear harmless and inoffensive to people.  My real-estate agent calls gαy men "happy men," in a joking way.  But that is really how they present themselves, carefree and fun, when the reality, if you have ever known someone with those tendencies, is that in many cases ( or all cases, perhaps ) they are hypersensitive and angry underneath the jolly surface.  Because what they are doing is wrong.

It really is exactly the same with the Jєωs.  They adopt the guise of comedians and appear totally harmless, that is how they work their way into society while before people were very wary of them.  "Comedy" has now become one of the great evils of our time, when Jєωιѕн comedians like Bill Maher, Jon Stewart and his so-called Catholic lackey Stephen Colbert are perceived as truth-tellers who use humor to get their point across, while in reality spreading soul-destroying falsehoods.
Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

I'm pretty sure he's an atheist.
