Home Alone or SSPX?

  • I'd prefer a Resistance, CMRI, or independent chapel that's privationist or sedevacantist, but none are in my area. The only chapel that's within reasonable distance is an SSPX chapel, but seeing how SSPX has been coopted by the diabolical as their latest move is assenting to vaccines, even murdered fetal matter-laden vacs, should I stay at home ("home aloner") or should I keep going to the SSPX? Please help me with this.

  • It's not impossible that churches could be closed someday.
While you can,  receive the sacraments as often as possible.
Forget the politics and sins of others...... go to Mass, confession and communion and leave immediately afterward.
I'm assuming you're an adult.  If the sermon contains politics etc. say your rosary and ignore it.
If they change the Mass or sacraments, then leave and don't go back.

  • What Miseremini said.
Get the graces while you can.
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

  • I agree as well.
There are no perfect priests or organizations, but there is Jesus.
When faced with home-alonism myself years ago (we did this for awhile) I realized that my children were losing not only the weekly routine of Mass while growing up, and monthly Confessions, but also Jesus Himself. And all because the priests administering the Sacraments were flawed. I dumped the politics of it all into the hands of Mary and went back to the Mass. Not the priests or SSPX but The Mass and Sacraments.

  • You need to understand that staying home because there is not an acceptable traditional church available to you is not being a "home aloner".  I'm not passing judgment on the chapel you have available.

A "home aloner" is one who will not go to any traditional church because of his erroneous dogmatic opinion that there are no priests anywhere in the world from whom one can seek the sacraments.  The only person I actually know who is truly a home aloner is Gerry Matatics.  I know there are others, I just don't know them.

Make sure there are no traditional churches near you.  Check the Lux Vera directory:

An SSPX priest isn't Menzingen. Research the priest, and as long as his orders are certain, and researches turn up no Modernistic musings, you are good to go. The priests aren't going to be espousing taking the COVID vaccine and suchlike which emanate from HQ.

Sad that Matatics took that ridiculous position, he's a good apologist otherwise, but that's a real problem.

I think if you've purity spiraled to the point where you wont attend an SSPX chapel that's  way overboard (even though I grant its technically not home-aloneism if you'd go to a Sede chapel or whatnot) and I think that's going to be dangerous to your spiritual life.  Go to the SSPX chapel.  I seriously doubt they're going to preach on or insist you take the vaccine.  And we're always going to have disagreements with other Catholics, that's part of life.
