  • I think we're going to see more and more crimes like this -- as children are A) detached from reality B) raised by their peers

(CNN) -- They had something to prove to someone they found on a ghoulish website. So, two girls allegedly lured a third girl into a wooded area in Waukesha, Wisconsin, over the weekend and stabbed her 19 times, police said.
The suspects allegedly left the victim to crawl to her own rescue. The three girls, all 12 years old, were friends, according to a criminal complaint.
A bicyclist found the wounded girl alive Saturday, lying on a sidewalk in Waukesha, Police Chief Russell Jack said. She was in stable condition at a hospital on Monday.
The girls were trying to impress a certain "Slenderman," the complaint read. One of the girls encountered the name on a website known as Creepypasta Wiki, which posts horror stories.
12-year-old stabbing suspects arrested Police: Suspects inspired by Internet
Slenderman is the site's supposed leader, and to climb up into his realm, a user must kill someone, one of the suspects told police.
The fictional Slenderman character is an Internet meme that often appears in horror stories, videos and images.
On Tuesday morning, a lengthy statement was posted on www.creepypasta.com.
The statement expressed condolences for everyone involved, and stressed that the site does not condone or encourage violence in any way but also noted that "it's hard to justify pinning blame on an entire genre of writing."
    Allegedly planned
The two were arrested hours after the victim was discovered Saturday, and they were being held on preliminary charges of attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
The complaint identified the girls as Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier.
They are being charged as adults and appeared in court Monday. Bail was set for each in the amount of $500,000, Waukesha County District Attorney Brad Schimel said.
Anthony Cotton, Geyser's attorney, told CNN on Tuesday that he's spoken briefly with her.
She is housed at a juvenile facility for females, he said, and the girl's family is in "shock."
Geyser has not had a mental evaluation yet, but her lawyer expects her to be given one soon.
Attempts to contact an attorney for Weier were unsuccessful Monday and Tuesday.
The suspects attended the same middle school as the victim and had a sleepover at the home of one of the suspects Friday night, Jack said.
"Both suspects had a fascination with a fictitious character that often posted" to websites dealing with stories about death and horror, the police chief told reporters at a news conference.
According to the criminal complaint, the suspects had been planning the attack since February.
They first thought to kill the victim by placing duct tape over her mouth while she was sleeping and stabbing her in the neck, the complaint read.
Next, the plan was to kill her in a bathroom where there was floor drain that could make cleanup easier, it continued.
But, finally, the girls decided to do it in a park while playing a game of hide-and-seek, the complaint read.
It states: "As they left for the park ... (the victim) was walking in front of them and Geyser lifted up the left side of her white jacket and displayed the knife tucked in her waistband. Weier stated she gave Geyser a look with wide eyes and, when asked what that meant Weier stated, 'I thought, dear god, this was really happening.' "
    'One millimeter away' from death
Some of the victim's major organs were struck.
One of the stab wounds was near her heart, and she was "one millimeter away from certain death," the complaint read.
According to the complaint, the victim told the bicyclist who found her: "Please help me. I've been stabbed." She was in extreme pain and could only answer questions with yes or no.
Authorities searched for the two other girls, and a sheriff's officer found them walking near Interstate 94, Jack said.
He declined to say whether the suspects had blood on their clothes, but added: "There was evidence that was readily apparent when the two were taken into custody."
That evidence included a large kitchen knife inside a purse that Geyser identified as one of her mother's old purses, according to the complaint.
Both girls spoke readily with police, the complaint said.

  • We need to figure this out, because I have a feeling we'll be seeing more of this kind of thing. The Modern World is getting increasingly messed up.

    1. You can't blame an entire genre of fiction ("horror"). Horror stories and ghost stories have been around for centuries, but people used to be grounded in reality enough to distinguish reality from fantasy.

    2. Normally 12 year old girls would be too feminine and timid to stab someone, even when angry.

    3. These girls don't seem to have mental issues or anger issues. These aren't a bunch of girls from "the hood". That is what I find fascinating about this case.

    4. Yes, they did a heinous deed, and that deed suggests that something wasn't right, but aside from this particular crime (whose facts are known) I wouldn't say these girls sound mentally ill (maybe I just don't know them well enough!)

    5. It *appears* that they are normal 12 year old middle class girls having a sleepover.

    6. Dangers of peer pressure and being "socialized" by one's peers rather than older people (parents, teachers, uncles, aunts, grandparents, etc.)

    7. Another reason to keep your kids from public school and socializing with unmoored, unyoked pagans.

    8. These girls didn't seem to have any religion guiding their life. Maybe that's the real problem here. They were floating around with no discipline or direction.

There isn't any maybe out it, Matthew.  If they had any sort of religious guidance, it was a religion that celebrates the "self" even if it celebrates it in "others".  But it is much more likely that they are entirely pagan hedonists.

Or, as was pointed out in another topic, perhaps they are just really into the parish Youth Group.  (And I do not intend this as sarcasm in any way--I am completely serious.)

Yes, but look on the bright side, Matthew: at least the child mortality rate has decreased.

  • A mind that is not shaped in the truths of the Catholic Faith, will surely fall into disorder and chaos, especially if hopelessly indoctrinated by the modern diabolical media.
If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

  • Fortunately, these incidences are very rare.

More normal for the secular world is the spiritual death that doesn't ever actually make the headlines.  The public schools and the conciliar schools inculcate a disbelief in God and encourage destructive behavior on a massive scale.   In public school social studies classes, a position against abortion will not be encouraged and will likely be shouted down by the teacher.

I don't want to be seen as mixing apples and oranges here but there are approx. 3,400 abortions every day in the U.S. - so a once in a blue moon attempted murder by a bunch of maladjusted moral midgets, while disgusting, is still such a rarity that it shouldn't even be factored into the equation.  But that's just when you consider statistics and the likelihood of something taking place.  Parents should not view an interest in the occult as something fun and harmless.  People act on their interests in large and small ways.  Rap fans want to buy rap CD's and even Rap posters then they may want to actually go to a rap concert.  Occult fans may, in some rare cases, want to act out a human sacrifice of some sort.  A child showing interest in the occult, or rap, should be strongly discouraged immediately - even to the point of outright banning any of that junk from the home.  None of it leads to anything good.

That being said, a child could have a passing interest in bizarre stuff and never in a million years actually act out any vicous fantasy so some form of sociopathology is at play in this particular case.

  • Where's the press, calling for the banning of kitchen knives? Clearly, the rise in violent crime goes a bit deeper than gun laws.

In which kind of community do "school shootings" occur?  Most people assume inner cities, ghettos or so-called racial minority neighborhoods.  In reality, they almost universally take place in upper middle class/professional suburban areas.  You know, the places where "respectable" people make their homes.  These places are sadly most likely to be devoid of moral and spiritual standards.  It is all about outward appearance and "spin."  Having grown up in just such a place, I can assure you that these girls never developed consciences because of the absence of religious and moral foundation.  I was blessed by parents who, while not very religious, did have strong moral standards which they passed down to me.  Most of my peers were not so fortunate.

  • the Book, "the Black Awakening", tells it all.  Very easy to program the mind, make "chosen ones" and direct them.  When you watch the news?, note the age group of those who do the shootings and such and then commit ѕυιcιdє.  Programmed.  Then remember the nurse to the Princess Kate who picked up the ringing phone, answered it and committed ѕυιcιdє.  Programmed?

A ban on kitchen knives may appear in NYC very soon.  On Sunday, a crazed person accosted two children, ages 6 and 7, in a Brooklyn apartment elevator.  The children were on their way down to the ice cream truck.  The 6 year old boy was stabbed to death and the 7 year old girl is in critical condition.  The bloody kitchen knife was found this morning, (Tuesday).  The murderer is still on the loose.

  • The article that I read state that one of the girl's father posted artwork of his daughter 's slenderman drawings. So he knew she was all about slenderman .

This is what happens when parents allow the internet to parent for them.

My kids play minecraft. I have to stay on top of that and restrict usage. They told me about slenderman a few years ago, supposedly a friend that attends our parish school has the video game. We talked about it and they fortunately recognized it as demonic and told said friend that they wouldn't have anything to do with it. Kids informed me yesterday that you can purchase slenderman for minecraft.

I really should just pull this out of my house .. Pray for me.

I heard about that! What the??

I am becoming more and more resigned to the fact that people are simply possessed. We look everywhere for causes, mental, physical, environmental, and sometimes those are satisfactory answers. But really, demons are unleashed and people are possessed. It's not that I've denied this before, I just never kept it in the forefront of my mind as the obvious answer.

This is what Modernism does to people through the massive media outlets. Modernism does not seek to nourish the mind with Truth but to feed the imagination with dreams. These "dreams" are becoming more evil, infernal, and nightmarish, in content too.  It seems people are having a hard time nowadays distinguishing between what is real and what is not, because of the modern belief that reality is subjective and one can just "invent" his/her own reality, instead of existing outside of self. Dangerous.

Modern mindset leads only to the death of reason, which causes men to quickly descends to the level of beasts. When the foundation of reason is attacked, everything is turn upside down and all coherent thought is no more.

Does anyone know what became of this attempted murder case?  Is there a trial pending or are the two conspirators still in detention?

One would think that when a website (creepypasta wiki) is associated with a crime, the site would remove offensive material or whatever, but I checked and it's still in full swing there:

    Just in time for Halloween!!

    Quote

Even though Slender Man was fabricated on SomethingAwful forums (or was he?), some people have already claimed sightings. He is seen mostly at night peering into open windows and walks out in front of lone motorists on secluded roads.

His main intentions appear to be kidnapping children, as when he is seen near them in photographs, they usually disappear shortly afterwards. The Slender Man has also inspired many stories such as those of Marble Hornets.

In the end though, his purpose remains unknown.

An interesting take on Slender Man by a pasta member who is relying on the Marble hornets series for evidence/facts:

“There has been a big misconception about my pal the Slender Man due to the appearance of this article. He does not have hair or a face. Everything else is correct. There is also some questioning as to whether or not there is more than one. I find that unlikely. It's most likely Slendy f___ing with your head in order to make you think that there is more than one, which he has been known to do. As of now, Slendy has 3 or 4 known accomplices.

“These are Hoodie, Maskie, The Rake and possibly The Observer. Not much is known yet because the next episode of the Noah Maxwell ARG has not yet been released. In the Marble Hornets ARG, Hoodie and Maskie are possibly his followers. In the Everyman HYBRIDS ARG the Rake seems to be working with him, but we aren't really sure if that is true or not.”

"Slendy" has 3 or 4 accomplices.

It sounds like "Slendy" is nothing more than another stinking devil.

No wonder wiki keeps this stuff running.
