Whew. You might get a lot of guys here weighing in on this question. :-)

I own three multi tools. I normally carry the Gerber variety because I like the spring on the vice grip function of that particular tool. I also have two high end Leathermans. One is the Wave And the other is the big black one with additional saw blades and screwdriver bits. This one normally accompanies me in my range box. The Gerber he’s carried on my belt. If I were to wear anymore, I need to wear suspenders plus the belt! LOL list the pants fall down.

In addition to a multi tool, I would recommend a decent folding knife. The owner to benchmark folders and the steel in those are of extreme high quality. I keep them home to a razors edge, using various diamond knife sharpener‘s. 

For every day carry, I would’ve remembered the upper and Gerber model. For every day carry a knife, we really depends on your budget. I would stay away from 440 stainless steel and opt for Aus88 or better. A very sharp knife is a very safe knife.

I am in hope this helps you out a little bit. I too am curious as to what other gentleman will have in the recommendations. Then we can move on to tactical flashlight! LOL says a self confirmed LED flashlight the tactical variety junkie! But I’m reformed.😂 4000 lm for every day Carrie, and one of those pop can 25,000 lm ones if I ever can head again out into the mountains to do shooting, or picnicking. I would love to get back into yogi 🥸

I carry one of those junky little Mossy Oak multitools that Walmart had on sale, camo-type skin, during Christmas for $4.97.  Got one for my son, and one for me.  For a $5 tool, it's OK.  If you need higher quality, Mossy Oak isn't your tool.
