  • Nature is meaner than any tyrant, too.

If you put yourself in a room with some VX (nerve agent) gas, God would allow its effects on your body -- bubbling of the skin, going into paralysis until your body goes into convulsions from lack of oxygen and finally you break your own spine from the convulsions.

That's an extreme example, but there are more common, everyday examples.

God might "allows you" to have constant car trouble -- not because it was His idea, but because you stink at choosing cars!

Maybe God wanted you to muster up the humility to ask a relative or friend to help you choose a good vehicle before you bought it. But in the modern world, everyone is qualified to do everything. We are ALL equal consumers. I can pick out a good computer or car every bit as good as you! Who needs humility? And don't even get me started on Feminism...

We Catholics would all tell each other how "God's ways are inscrutable" and whatnot, but so much of what happens is just NATURE TAKING ITS COURSE.

God doesn't normally suspend the laws of nature.

    Just remember:

    God always forgives
    Man sometimes forgives
    NATURE NEVER FORGIVES

Long story short, we have to learn a bit about the world, especially the modern world, with all its errors and ignorance, or nature is going to teach us some serious, hard lessons!

Sure, God will forgive you for not learning that the modern US Military is an illegitimate Imperial Army sent to interfere all around the world for the sake of the Jєωιѕн Bankers who run the country.

But when your son/husband comes home in a box, or missing a couple legs -- God won't bring him back to life or miraculously heal him for you, just because you were ignorant. Know what I mean?

Or vaccines -- it's theoretically not sinful to be ignorant about their dangers. But if your child gets autism, cancer, and/or dies -- it isn't God choosing to do this to you. You made the decision, in order to remove the remote possibility of your child getting Hepatitis B, Chicken Pox, or the Flu. That was your decision. You literally picked your poison.

There are dozens of other examples -- the money system, being able to stay afloat on one income (and thus properly raise and educate children), Big Pharma, modern obstetricians and their tendency to do C-sections (what about mothers who want to avoid birth control?) and so forth.

God is merciful, and will give you the graces you need to deal with sufferings you brought on yourself (after all, a lot of our sufferings were ultimately self-inflicted, even though by accident). Nevertheless, we should never maliciously reject the truth (as the Modern World as a whole has done) or God might just leave us to our own devices, and let us have our "error" which we wanted so badly.

God understands we are weak humans with a weak understanding of the truth. Our intellects are frail and prone to error. But we must have the good will to seek the truth always, and not reject it for willful, selfish or malicious reasons.

Remember the joke about the man in the flood, standing on his roof -- 3 men came along in 3 different boats trying to save him, but he kept saying "God will save me." He eventually drowned, and asked God "why didn't you save me?" and God responded, "I sent three men in boats to save you!"

God's mercy might be having that Truther try to tell you about vaccinations, Big Pharma, the military industrial complex, the Bankers, and/or why midwives are better than mainstream obstetricians for Traditional Catholics. If you reject these truths, you're like the man rejecting the rescue boat, hoping for a miracle.

    Great topic.  :applause:

Maybe it is time for me to not warn certain people in my life and just have them self destruct.

  •   Good topic Sir Matt.  I agree with that idea we need
to use our voices and not have false humility or we
do have more problem and trouble in life . :applause:
