A Traditional Catholic.

I do not plan on testing out my theory.

About four years ago, before I became a Traditional Catholic , I got called to my supervisors office because H.R. got a complaint about something I said. My guess is someone found something I said  regarding global economics offensive . I was told I can't talk about a news story until it became mainstream news. 18 months later most people in the office were talking about the economic downturn and I doubt any of them have been told to not discuss the economy.

Today I heard another supervisor discussing with my supervisor something about Lutherans' and Catholics'. I would have thought the subject of Catholics' versus Lutherans' was not allowed to be talked about at work.

Do you ever get the feeling people believe anyone can talk about Traditional Catholicism except Traditional Catholics?

  • Relevant points you bring up. I don't even bring up anything religious related at work, maybe out of some cowardly fear of being fired or maybe just because I think I am throwing "pearls to swine". Maybe a little of both though, in reality.

In my line of work, there are very very few "I believe Jesus is God" type of people.... then smaller than that there are even fewer , if any , people who call themselves Catholic,.... then I am probably the only traditional Catholic in the 20 square miles of my company.

If something comes up to me that blasphemes Jesus or his saints or Mary, and its directly levied to me for a retort, I hope I'll have the courage to respond in like and damn to the consequences if I get fired or reported to my superiors.... but otherwise I'll just let it fly by because "I'm in the belly of the beast" and must remain silent to survive.

Now outside of work, its on, mang.
