OK, like most Trads I'll admit that I'm sick of the portrayal of "average family size" in the Mass Media and advertising -- usually 1 or 2 children, and if it's 2 children it's always a boy and a girl.

But this big family is a bit silly!

Note that the father has a 2 or 3 month old, and his wife is already pregnant enough to show! Is that even possible?

And it looks their family is a bit bottom-heavy. Did they discover they shouldn't be using NFP, and flipped over to the opposite extreme? It looks like they have (2) twin 1 year olds, a 2 or 3 month old, and a baby due in about 5 months. The other kids look quite a bit older.

They look like they'll be going from a family of 6 to a family of 10 in 24 months' time.

Has the artist ever seen a REAL big family before? Are they trying to make fun of big families? Are they being silly on purpose? Sure makes you wonder.

Anyhow, just some silliness for the day...

I come from a family of 12 children. the first six of us were born one year after the next. That type of family is possible

Personally, Matthew, I think you wayyyyy over-analyzing this.  I looked at the picture before I read your comments, and I didn't see any of what you are suggesting.  I certainly did not get the impression that they are trying to make fun of large families.  It may be true that the ages are not realistic, but it is a cartoon after all.

I analyze everything, and if the ages aren't realistic, then I'm going to notice. I turn off my brain at no time, for no man :)

I'm that person who finds problems, inconsistencies, etc. in a movie, and other people are like "shut up and enjoy the movie". Like I said -- I turn off my brain for no one. I don't think that's a bad thing.
