For what it’s worth, here’s an interesting summary of the strengths and weaknesses of the various “generations” (ie., Gen. X; Boomers; Millennials; etc.).
https://www.businessinsider.com/how-millennials-gen-x-and-boomers-shape-the-workplace-2013-9?amp It would be interesting to do a similar test in the Church, and see if the same traits hold (eg., If millennials are not good team players, as the study asserts, do they have lower membership in the various confraternities and societies? If Gen X makes better managers, do they represent a higher proportion of leadership roles, clerical or lay? Etc.).
More interesting still, would be an accurate study explaining the prevalence of these generational traits (eg., Does the fact that authority is shot, as +BW states have any causal influence on the rise of sedes, independents, Feeneyites, and millennials, who tend to reject authority?).
