It's about $2.70 per gallon for 87 octane in California, steady for the past 3-4 weeks.
I know some stations that are charging over $3, and some are over $4, like in Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and Malibu. I heard of one station with $6 gas, but I don't know anyone who pays that much. I went there one day about 25 years ago and came face-to-face with Jimmy Stewart, who was getting his car fixed. He did not lower his eyes to make eye contact. He seemed about 6'-4" tall so everyone else rather looked up to him, so to speak.
So when you complain about prices a dollar less than what is normal here, it's a bit odd for us.
