I don't recall the details, but I remember hearing some facts about the seers' actions that were very odd and much unlike anything of previous apparitions or stories of the Saints. Wasn't walking backward one of their actions?

I have heard about the walking (I think it was fast running (!) ) as well. Apparently one of the seers' is coming to a local chapel soon. I'm sort of torn on whether to attend or not. I'm praying about it, but also welcome input.

  • For what it's worth, I've never believed in it.  Don't waste your time.

  • I think its bogus. One of the many diabolically inspired traps to avoid.

  • Thanks guys... I definitely leaning in that direction as well. Whether or not there's truth to Garabandal, I think there's plenty one can gain from Fatima, Lourdes etc.

Yes, Fatima, Lourdes, La Salette.... all the apparitions that have been approved by the Church after duly investigating them.

There are many false apparitions  and seers around nowadays. It is Satan's time, and there is no traditional Church that is functioning to make rulings on the current or recent alleged apparitions.

Since we don't need apparations for our salvation, it is best to stay away from all of them that have not been approved.

  • I heard a Traditional priest one time say that the "apparitions" of Garabandal, Medjugorie, and Bayside are all false. That happens to be my stance as well.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

  • Thanks SS, I saw a old thread here that said bishop Williamson somehow supported the apparitions which is why I started this thread too.

My feeling is that its demonic and you won't miss anything by not going. What more do you need other than that which is approved?

The Garabandal apparition was actually endorsed by the late Fr. Malachi Martin (who read the Third Secret of Fatima) and by Padre Pio of Pietrelcina.  It was never endorsed by the Church though its event was superceded by Akita which was approved by the Bishop of Akita (a true bishop consecrated in the True Rite) and finally approved by the Holy Office in the 1980s.
I'm a Roman Catholic who upholds the sedevacantist position.

The Holy Office was changed to the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith on December 7, 1965, at the end of the Second Vatican Council.

In 1988, with the promulgation of JP2's Apostolic Constitution on the Roman Curia called Pastor Bonus, "Sacred" was dropped from the names of Curial Congregations, and the congregation adopted its current name, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.

What do you mean by the Garabandal' "event was superceded by Akita"?

Do you accept the authority of the (Modernist Novus Ordo) Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith?

  • Who cares if it's endorsed by M. Martin or even Padre Pio?  They're not infallible.
We need to stop putting too much trust in MEN & only put our trust in Holy Mother CHURCH.

  • The Garabandal promise of a "warning" seems a diabolical concept. Since there is supposedly a "warning," people are encouraged to remain steeped in sin until they are "warned."  It is a recipe for eternal disaster. Ooops, no warning, you are in mortal sin, too bad for you. Satan loves to trick his own.
