    This took several months to receive but DMC is offering free cross stitch kits.
    They are on 14 count.

    For girls younger than 11 I recommend buying some additional 6 or 8 count. The thread and needle from the kit can be used. 123 Stitch sold me 1/2 of their smallest cut of 6 ct - it was $7 including shipping for a 16 x 18 piece.

    I made a small heart on graph paper for them to stitch first.

    My other tip is to open the kit, 1) thread the needles 2) make the first stitch with an anchor before class. Learn as I  go.  :laugh2:
