The Vatican is in the middle of Rome, I doubt there are only 30 homeless wandering around its streets. Or are these 30 actually citizens of the Vatican city state? If so I would hope that jobs could be found for 30 people which would enable them to do better than remain homeless.
I do what I can with my limited resources to help those less fortunate, but I don't have billions of dollars in my coffers as I think the Vatican does.
My point is that the Vatican is a vast organization with enough wealth to be able to do more than provide a token 30 beds IF helping those less fortunate was really a priority. I suspect this effort is just another stunt by "humble Francis" for media consumption, but I am willing to be proved wrong.
