  • Do you mind sharing the link?  I've been wanting to get such an Advent Wreath.
    I tried sharing the link in my last post but it didn't work and then I gave up trying because the boys started waking up. :laugh1:

    This one should work! :cowboy:

    Great, thank you.  They seem to have good ratings too.  One thing I noted was that one person mentioned making sure they are the right size for your advent wreath.

  • In the old days they had the honorable tradition of praying for THE POPE! during a Novena. (Ps. Not sure if this novena is approved by the Holy Catholic Church...?)

    https://www.ncregister.com/cna/how-to-pray-the-300-year-old-christmas-novena
    ...
    Son of Mary, while in your Mother’s womb you were welcomed by Elizabeth and her infant son, John;
    — though hidden, may we always recognize you and welcome you into our hearts.
    God our Counselor, come; tell us that your kingdom is at hand;

    — protect the Church and the pope. Keep the Church as your spotless bride.

    Root of Jesse, you humbled yourself to share our human nature;
    ....
    and yes, Advent is replete with special graces...and HOPE!
    Holy Advent to all.
    Beautiful prayer. Thank you for posting it. The bolded part brought tears to my eyes.
    Pray for the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

    You are most welcome!  🥰

    And I totally missed that bit about making sure they are the right size when I quickly looked over the reviews.  Thanks for mentioning!  😊

  • The battery candles did not end up fitting our glass candle holders.  So, we made an advent wreath out of construction paper, crepe paper, and cardboard for the candles last night after the package with them arrived.  I still need to finish cleaning up the craft mess from making it and the boys cutting pieces of paper and cardboard all over the dinning room.  At least they had fun.  😅

    That looks amazing.  And it was probably a better experience for the boys this way.  I know that you are teaching them in many other ways that people can make things rather than buy them.  This just added to that important lesson.

    I bet you thought you were just doing crafts, but you were also fighting secular culture.  Good job.  :cowboy:
