This is the most ridiculously modern thing for a trad woman to say.
"safety" is a feminist buzzword.
Well I am not using it that way. Stop making such bad assumptions.
We are not puritans, who need everything to be dismal all the time. I am getting tired of the impression that some of you have that the more everyone suffers, the better it is for everyone.
Do you know what it feels like to be scared? Do you know how anger terrifies little children? Do you know how abandonment feels? Do you know how it feels to never hear a kind word? These things make people feel unsafe and unprotected. Do you know how many times I see married couples speak poorly to each other? Men do it action. Women do it with words. Do you know how many children of these families, don't want to get married? How many think "How can there be a God, if this is love?" How many miserable people have you met?
The home needs to be safe haven, especially with all the secular evil around.
Tom, I would appreciate you not tainting a conversation with your emotional reaction. I do find that sometimes you have good things to say. If you needed clarity on what I meant, you should just ask.
