  • There are dozens (if not hundreds) of subtle IDEAS that permeate pretty much everything on TV, cable, DVD, etc.

Those ideas are actually ANTI-Catholic, and secular. Which way they go varies by movie (new-age, liberalism, hedonism, nihilism, etc.)

I could make a list of the "errors" subtly put forth as "givens" in most movies -- even those with NO violence and NO sex scenes. IMO, those are the worst movies, because they are perceived as "harmless", while they brainwash us and turn us into worldlings (people with worldly ideals).

Finding appropriate content that a Catholic can watch -- with NO damage to his Faith -- is an exercise in frustration.

There are probably less than 10 movies ever made that don't have SOMETHING objectionable to the Catholic Faith -- in other words, that wouldn't be on the Index if it were still being used.

We shouldn't go by the letter of the law (the Index was done away with), but the spirit of the law -- if the Church wasn't humiliated and in crisis, would she forbid Catholics to watch this movie?

Remember, doing away with the Index did NOTHING GOOD for society -- just look at the world we have today.

  • Ooh!  Make a Catholic movie!  All you really need is a good camera.  Trad ladies can usually sew costumes.  The only hard parts would be lighting, acting and writing lines.

Paying for extras would be expensive though.  Better get funding from the trad community.
