  • FEW ARE SAVED AND LIARS ARE INFINITE

The gravity regarding the fewness that is saved by God, it’s rarely understood. Unless people have a good will and truly care about the truth, obtaining it with much labor and due diligence, they are lost.  Most people prefer their own ideas, their own ways, unto destruction.  The bible speaks to this.

Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seemeth to a man right: and the ends thereof lead to death.

Jeremias 10:23 I know, O Lord, that the way of a man is not his: neither is it in a man to walk, and to direct his steps.

1 Corinthians 6:19 Or know you not, that your members are the temple of the Holy Ghost, who is in you, whom you have from God; and you are not your own?

The false idea of relativism is evil and truly a definition of confusion and disunity

Relativism.  Is the belief that the truth is not always the same but varies according to people, circumstances and different times. The view that there are no absolute truths or values.

Liars, walk around in their own truth, most especially, in these last days.  St. Paul speaks to this.

2 Timothy 3: 1, 5, 7 Know also this, that, in the last days, shall come dangerous times. Men shall be lovers of themselves, covetous, haughty, proud, blasphemers, ... Having an appearance indeed of godliness, but denying the power thereof. Now these avoid. ... Ever learning, and never attaining to the knowledge of the truth.

Romans 3:4 But God is true; and every man a liar, as it is written, That thou mayest be justified in thy words, and mayest overcome when thou art judged.

Psalms 115:11 I said in my excess: Every man is a liar.

And so it is, that when the truth be told, it will be, that the majority will attack it and reject it, by bringing forth their own opinions.

Exodus 23:2 Thou shalt not follow the multitude to do evil: neither shalt thou yield in judgment, to the opinion of the most part, to stray from the truth.

Just by using critical thinking skills, listening to what they say, they actually expose themselves as liars.  And they are never specific about their accusations or give any facts to dispute the truth.

By their tongue you shall know them.

Matthew 7:16 Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them.

Matthew 15:18 But the things which proceed out of the mouth, come forth from the heart, and those things defile a man.

The principle of unity says that if you ask any baseball player about a rule of the game of baseball, anyone of them, will tell you the same thing.  This same principle applies to the members of the catholic church.  If anyone were to recede in the least degree, regarding the truths of the catholic church, he places himself outside of the catholic church.  He is harmed, not the church.  The church is always immaculate.  The church is a society of believers, not heretics.

Pope Leo XIII, Satis Cognitum (# 9), June 29, 1896: “The practice of the Church has always been the same, as is shown by the unanimous teaching of the Fathers, who were wont to hold as outside Catholic communion, and alien to the Church, whoever would recede in the least degree from any point of doctrine proposed by her authoritative Magisterium.”

Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, “Cantate Domino,” 1441:
“The Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes and preaches that all those who are outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans but also Jews or heretics and schismatics, cannot share in eternal life and will go into the everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels, unless they are joined to the Church before the end of their lives...”2

Pope Pius XII, Mystici Corporis Christi (# 23), June 29, 1943:
“For not every sin, however grave it may be, is such as of its own nature to sever a man from the Body of the Church, as does schism or heresy or apostasy.”3

Pope Innocent III, Eius exemplo, Dec. 18, 1208:
“By the heart we believe and by the mouth we confess the one Church, not of heretics, but the Holy Roman, Catholic, and Apostolic Church outside of which we believe that no one is saved.”

And the moral of what is being said regarding truth and the lies of liars, it is incumbent upon every man in these last days to labour hard and prove all things.  Do not listen, on its face, to anyone that may attack truth, and not even supply facts to support their attack.  If someone makes a claim, they should be able to back it up!

1 Thessalonians 5:21 But prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

2 Timothy 4:5 But be thou vigilant, labour in all things, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill thy ministry. Be sober.

If man does not care about the truth, then they are lost and this is why few are saved.  History, the true popes and the saints have proven the point, that few are saved.

Just think about the destruction of the world the first time, only eight people were saved out of billions.  After only 1156 years of life on Earth, God destroyed the world, billions of people.

1 Peter 3:20 Which had been some time incredulous, when they waited for the patience of God in the days of Noe, when the ark was a building: wherein a few, that is, eight souls, were saved by water.

And again in Moses’ time, out of 603,550 footmen [males] above the age of twenty, not including the priests, and everyone else, male and female, below the age of twenty, out of that number only two souls of the first generation, went into the Promised Land.  Josue and Caleb.

Numbers 1:2-4, 46-49 Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel by their families, and houses, and the names of every one, as many as are of the male sex, From twenty years old and upwards, of all the men of Israel fit for war, and you shall number them by their troops, thou and Aaron. ... Were six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty men. But the Levites in the tribes of their families were not numbered with them.  And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Number not the tribe of Levi, neither shalt thou put down the sum of them with the children of Israel:

Numbers 14:29-30 In the wilderness shall your carcasses lie. All you that were numbered from twenty years old and upward, and have murmured against me, Shall not enter into the land, over which I lifted up my hand to make you dwell therein, except Caleb the son of Jephone, and Josue the son of Nun.

Saint Leonard of Port Maurice [A.D. 1676-1751], on the fewness of the saved: “After consulting all the theologians and making a diligent study of the matter, he [Suarez] wrote, ‘The most common sentiment which is held is that, among Christians [Catholics], there are more damned souls than predestined souls.’  Add the authority of the Greek and Latin Fathers to that of the theologians, and you will find that almost all of them say the same thing. This is the sentiment of Saint Theodore, Saint Basil, Saint Ephrem, Saint John Chrysostom. What is more, according to Baronius it was a common opinion among the Greek Fathers that this truth was expressly revealed to Saint Simeon Stylites and that after this revelation, it was to secure his salvation that he decided to live standing on top of a pillar for forty years, exposed to the weather, a model of penance and holiness for everyone.  Now let us consult the Latin Fathers. You will hear Saint Gregory saying clearly, “Many attain to faith, but few to the heavenly kingdom.” Saint Anselm declares, “There are few who are saved.” Saint Augustine states even more clearly, “Therefore, few are saved in comparison to those who are damned.”  The most terrifying, however, is Saint Jerome. At the end of his life, in the presence of his disciples, he spoke these dreadful words: “Out of one hundred thousand people whose lives have always been bad, you will find barely one who is worthy of indulgence.”

Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, “Cantate Domino,” 1441, ex cathedra:
“The Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes and preaches that all those who are outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans but also Jews or heretics and schismatics, cannot share in eternal life and will go into the everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels, unless they are joined to the Church before the end of their lives; that the unity of this ecclesiastical body is of such importance that only for those who abide in it do the Church’s sacraments contribute to salvation and do fasts, almsgiving and other works of piety and practices of the Christian militia produce eternal rewards; and that nobody can be saved, no matter how much he has given away in alms and even if he has shed blood in the name of Christ, unless he has persevered in the bosom and unity of the Catholic Church.”

Pope Gregory XVI, Mirari Vos (# 13), Aug. 15, 1832: “With the admonition of the apostle that ‘there is one God, one faith, one baptism’ (Eph. 4:5) may those fear who contrive the notion that the safe harbor of salvation is open to persons of any religion whatever.  They should consider the testimony of Christ Himself that ‘those who are not with Christ are against Him,’ (Lk. 11:23) and that they disperse unhappily who do not gather with Him.  Therefore, ‘without a doubt, they will perish forever, unless they hold the Catholic faith whole and inviolate” (Athanasian Creed).

Saint Anselm: “If thou wouldst be certain of being in the number of the elect, strive to be one of the few, not of the many.  And if thou wouldst be quite sure of thy salvation, strive to be among the fewest of the fewDo not follow the great majority of mankind, but follow those who enter upon the narrow way, who renounce the world, who give themselves to prayer, and who never relax their efforts by day or by night, that they may attain everlasting blessedness.” (Fr. Martin Von Cochem, The Four Last Things, p. 221.)

This is exactly what I am talking about, don't you know catholic teaching??  How can someone call themselves catholic, being active on a catholic blog and not know a rudimentary principle of the church?  There is a simple principle that says, it is the rules, that determine what a thing is i.e. the Constitution and America, the rulebook of the game of baseball, with the game of baseball etc.  If a man stops playing by the rules, he ceases from what he was before and becomes something new, other than what he doing before!

Has anyone ever heard of a wolf in sheep's clothing?  Its a rhetorical question by the way.  JPaul, by your own admission, you don't even realize that we have been living through the great deception, the revolt spoken of by Daniel, St. Paul and St. Matthew.  We are living through the world wide apostasy from God and have been since 1958.  But I digress.  Here is the catholic teaching concerning a claimant to the papacy, who is a heretic.

The Catholic Encyclopedia, “Heresy,” 1914, Vol. 7, p. 261: “The pope himself, if notoriously guilty of heresy, would cease to be pope because he would cease to be a member of the Church.”

St. Robert Bellarmine, Cardinal and Doctor of the Church, De Romano Pontifice, II, 30: "A pope who is a manifest heretic automatically (per se) ceases to be pope and head, just as he ceases automatically to be a Christian and a member of the Church. Wherefore, he can be judged and punished by the Church. This is the teaching of all the ancient Fathers who teach that manifest heretics immediately lose all jurisdiction."

St. Robert Bellarmine, De Romano Pontifice, II, 30: "This principle is most certain. The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope, as Cajetan himself admits (ib. c. 26). The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member; now he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian (lib. 4, epist. 2), St. Athanasius (Scr. 2 cont. Arian.), St. Augustine (lib. De great. Christ. Cap. 20), St. Jerome (contra Lucifer.) and others; therefore the manifest heretic cannot be Pope."

St. Francis De Sales (17th century), Doctor of the Church, The Catholic Controversy, pp. 305-306: "Now when he [the Pope] is explicitly a heretic, he falls ipso facto from his dignity and out of the Church..."

St. Antoninus (1459): "In the case in which the pope would become a heretic, he would find himself, by that fact alone and without any other sentenceseparated from the Church. A head separated from a body cannot, as long as it remains separated, be head of the same body from which it was cut off. A pope who would be separated from the Church by heresy, therefore, would by that very fact itself cease to be head of the Church. He could not be a heretic and remain pope, because, since he is outside of the Church, he cannot possess the keys of the Church." (Summa Theologica, cited in Actes de Vatican I. V. Frond pub.)

ITS THE ACT ITSELF, THAT CAUSES THE SEPARATION, NOT THE DECLARATION.  If a tree fell in the forest and no one heard it or declared it so, does that mean it didn't happen?  I'm sure that I will get a dumb response?

Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, “Cantate Domino,” 1441:
“The Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes and preaches that all those who are outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans but also Jews or heretics and schismatics, cannot share in eternal life and will go into the everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels, unless they are joined to the Church before the end of their lives…”

Pope Pius XII, Mystici Corporis Christi (# 23), June 29, 1943:
“For not every sin, however grave it may be, is such as of its own nature to sever a man from the Body of the Church, as does schism or heresy or apostasy.”

Pope Innocent III, Eius exemplo, Dec. 18, 1208:
“By the heart we believe and by the mouth we confess the one Church, not of heretics, but the Holy Roman, Catholic, and Apostolic Church outside of which we believe that no one is saved.”

Pope Leo XIII, Satis Cognitum (#15), June 29, 1896:
“No one, therefore, unless in communion with Peter can share in his authority, since it is absurd to imagine that he who is outside can command in the Church.”

Pope Paul IV issued a Papal Bull solemnly declaring that the election of a heretic, as pope, is null and void.  In 1559 Pope Paul IV issued an entire Papal Bull dealing with the subject and the possibility of a heretic being elected pope.

Pope Paul IV, Bull Cum ex Apostolatus Officio, Feb. 15, 1559: “1... Remembering also that, where danger is greater, it must more fully and more diligently be counteracted, We have been concerned lest false prophets or others, even if they have only secular jurisdiction, should wretchedly ensnare the souls of the simple, and drag with them into perdition, destruction and damnation countless peoples committed to their care and rule, either in spiritual or in temporal matters; and We have been concerned also lest it
may befall Us to see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by the prophet Daniel, in the holy place. In view of this, Our desire has been to fulfill our Pastoral duty, insofar as, with the help of God, We are able, so as to arrest the foxes who are occupying themselves in the destruction of the vineyard of the Lord and to keep the wolves from the sheepfolds, lest We seem to be dumb watchdogs that cannot bark and lest We perish with the wicked husbandman and be compared with the hireling...

    6. In addition, [by this Our Constitution, which is to remain valid in perpetuity We enact, determine, decree and define:-] that if ever at any time it shall appear that any Bishop, even if he be acting as an Archbishop, Patriarch or Primate; or any Cardinal of the aforesaid Roman Church, or, as has already been mentioned, any legate, or even the Roman Pontiff, prior to his promotion or his elevation as Cardinal or Roman Pontiff, has deviated from the Catholic Faith or fallen into some heresy: (i) the promotion or elevation, even if it shall have been uncontested and by the unanimous assent of all the Cardinals, shall be null, void and worthless; (ii) it shall not be possible for it to acquire validity (nor for it to be said that it has thus acquired validity) through the acceptance of the office, of consecration, of subsequent authority, nor through possession of administration, nor through the putative enthronement of a Roman Pontiff, or Veneration, or obedience accorded to such by all, nor through the lapse of any period of time in the foregoing situation; (iii) it shall not be held as partially legitimate in any way… (vi) those thus promoted or elevated shall be deprived automatically, and without need for any further declaration, of all dignity, position, honour, title, authority, office and power...

    10. No one at all, therefore, may infringe this document of our approbation, reintroduction, sanction, statute and derogation of wills and decrees, or by rash presumption contradict it. If anyone, however, should presume to attempt this, let him know that he is destined to incur the wrath of Almighty God and of the blessed Apostles, Peter and Paul.   Given in Rome at Saint Peter's in the year of the Incarnation of the Lord 1559, 15th February, in the fourth year of our Pontificate.
+ I, Paul, Bishop of the Catholic Church…”

By the way, the history of the catholic church has seen over 40 antipopes.  Does anyone remember the Western Schism?  Then is should not be a shock that we have been living with antipopes, since 1958, with the Second Vatican Robber Council.

As the post says liars are a dime a dozen, they are on every street corner.  And as I said, you have not provided anything to prove that I am wrong.  Why is that?  Its obvious that you are a parrot.  Bring the evidence, …boy.
