This is difficult as they don't care in the first place and my parents also don't have high standards in this matter. Only one parent is traditional and all their children are adults who have moved out. I'm staying at home however until housing improves. Renting would not be worth it for me and is also extremely overpriced.
Keeping a balance of respecting the 4th commandment and staying traditionally Catholic is very tough. We haven't cut off the rest of the family although we don't visit my sister who cohabits and my father who is remarried. They don't visit us either. My mother, a novos-ordo catholic has no problem with the cohabitation of my sister and she sees her a lot. So we see her when she visits my mother.
Nevertheless our children also have this need to know their other relatives, as we all do, to know the family history and we have cut no one off entirely.
