In December 8, 1955, on the Catholic Feast of “The Immaculate Conception of Mary the Co-redeemer”, the European Ministers delegates officially adopted the European flag, twelve stars on a blue background, designed by Arsene Heitz, who, today, is an octogenarian artist in Strasbourg.
Mary 12 stars 2Recently Heitz revealed to a French magazine the reason for his inspiration. According to the artist, he thought of the twelve stars in a circle on a blue background, exactly the way it is represented in traditional iconography of this image of the Immaculate Conception. A devotee of the Virgin Mary, Heitz never misses praying a daily Rosary. Heitz noticed the words of the Apocalypse, “And there appeared a great wonder in Heaven; a woman clothed with sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars,” (Revelation 12:1) As a devout Catholic, he applies this to Mary, whom Catholics worship.
    A Catholic Standard
The EU flag consists of twelve stars, inspired by the halo of twelve stars that appear around the Madonna in Catholic pictures of her. And, that is how a profoundly religious symbol came to be the official European Union flag.EU FLAG
A former secretary-general of the Council of Europe, Leon Marchal, affirmed that the stars are those of “the woman of the Apocalypse.” Enthusiastically he explained, “It’s wonderful that we have gotten back to the Introit of the new Mass of the Assumption. It’s the corona stellarum duodecim (the crown of the twelve stars) of the woman of the Apocalypse.”
I exposed AB Vigano's public meetings with Crowleyan Satanist Dugin so I ask protection on myself family friends priest, under the Blood of Jesus Christ and mantle of the Blessed Virgin Mary! If harm comes to any of us may that embolden the faithful to speak out all the more so Catholics are not deceived.

It does indeed seem, that despite the shamelessly blatant secularist underpinnings of the European Union, nevertheless, its flag contains Marian symbolism.

Perhaps this is one little shred of Divine Providence that managed to slip through.  Europe makes no sense without the Catholic Faith.  If there is ever to be such a thing as the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Three Days of Darkness, the Great Chastisement, the Angelic Monarch, what have you, this flag would be perfectly capable of serving as a European Catholic standard.

  • The founders of the European Coal and Steel Community which later became the European Economic Community, now European Union were a few cases notable devout Catholics. Alcide de Gaspari, a long time Italian Prime Minister would be a notable example. Now, not so much, unless you count, say Herman van Rompuy, who Biden-style calls himself a devout Catholic while supporting abortion.

The EU could have had a strong Catholic influence, if the Church hadn't been gutted from within from 1958 onwards.

At least we got to design the flag.

the official European Union flag.EU FLAG

Very interesting, MiserPeccator.  Now, I know why there was something familiar about the flag.

The article also says it will always stay at 12 stars too.  Those stars are on license plates and banknotes.

''The EU, which now has 28 member countries, has confirmed that the number of stars will always stay at twelve, indicating that the stars doesn’t represent countries. A leaflet, “Building Europe Together,” given to visitors to EU headquarters in Brussels, says: “The European flag (is) a shared flag…The number will remain twelve no matter how many countries there are in the European Union.”

The Marian symbol of twelve stars is on every license plate of the European Union and every banknote in Europe. Vatican-issued Euro coins have the Pope’s image with twelve stars.''

Yes, I can well imagine that the EU flag mirroring iconography of Our Lady, as well as what Scripture clearly says about her, does get up the you-know-what of many a fundamentalist Protestant.

They might want to read that Bible of theirs (oops, should have said "that Bible of OURS") a little more closely.

This one time, Team Catholic for the win.  And we know how the game ultimately turns out.
