  • Caused me to lose about 1 1/2 hours of sleep last night. The ground was moving for a few seconds! It was scary.

It was as 4.7 on the Richter scale. I believe it was centered South-East of me.

I didn't think we even had a faultline around Seguin, TX.

And why now? What other Horsemen of the Apocalypse will be visiting in 2024?

That meme about "2024 being crazy and it's only January" needs to be updated. And it's proving to be correct!

  • Yeah, I read about that.  It's not a common place for earthquakes, but there's a huge land plate, the bottom of which runs through Texas.  Ignore the part about "600 millions years" of course.

This reminds me of the 4ish Earthquake I experienced when I was in college.  The whole dorm woke up scared ....and my roommate?  She slept through it.  She was from California.  :laugh1:

That may not be the only reason.  Some people are just heavier sleepers.  I'll wake up at the slightest sound, but some of my kids could sleep through a plane crashing onto our house.
