My 2nd Combat Rosary from Roman Catholic Gear broke this morning...I superglued it for now since I am not equipped to pull apart the decade beads, but I'm sure it won't last long. It's a sad day, I've had this one for close to three years.
Any suggestions for durable rosaries apart from Roman Catholic Gear's combat rosaries?
God bless

I got a pair of unbreakable rosaries from esty , they were padre pio theme. They never broke but sadly I've lost them and Saint Anthony hasn't quite helped yet.... Still to find them
-
I used to go through rosaries about every other month, then I switched, I've been using the same cord rosary for 30 years, and it has a long way to go.

I have a few Rugged Rosaries, they haven't broken on me yet.

Yeah, I was thinking maybe cord might be a good idea. I came across this one on Etsy that looks durable and nice, while still having beads and metal bits.

Yes indeed, I've had these as well and they are every bit as durable as they look, but not any where near as comfortable in your pocket as a cord rosary.

I have two of their cord Rosaries, carried daily for years. Also have given their Rosaries (cord) and chaplets (wire) as gifts, never had one break.

Carrying them in a pouch also helps prevent unnecessary strain on the cord or wire.

Yeah, I always carry mine in a pouch, I'm just surprised it broke. I'll check those out though, thank you
The super glue seems to be holding up for now lol

While expensive, my paracord rosary from catholicwoodworker.com is the nicest and toughest I’ve seen.

Those are very nice, but yes, a bit on the expensive side. I do like that you can design them. I'll certainly think about it.
lol :laugh1: I played around with the designer and made a "dream rosary": https://catholicwoodworker.com/products/custom-rosary-designer?options=21d45929-74a4-47b5-aa1a-c0c9a14a3e0f (https://catholicwoodworker.com/products/custom-rosary-designer?options=21d45929-74a4-47b5-aa1a-c0c9a14a3e0f)

That is quite nice as well.

As much as I do like some of their designs, as I bought a St. Francis of Assisi rosary from them a while ago, it's very large and not congenial to keeping with me all the time.

Honestly the most durable rosaries I have are just the cheap ones with plastic beads and string or rope. I have bad luck with rosaries made with the metal chain links or whatever. I would go with something rope.
-
I literally have the same rosary for the last 25 years. Of course, I didn't always pray it daily, so maybe that's why it's lasted so long.
-
Sisters of Carmel for wire rosaries, ruggedrosaries for cord ones. Then get your crucifix from somewhere else. I like https://www.stjudeshop.com/ for crucifixes I got my St. Benedict crucifix from there and has held up great

Yeah, that's why I'm leaning more towards a cord rosary, either like Stubborn suggested, or some other examples people have posted. My sister bought me an old chain one with wood beads a while ago, and the link came undone after first use so I haven't touched it since as it seems to be quite delicate.
One would think the "battle beads" would hold up, but, I guess not if used daily.

Great rosaries. American made with parts from USA, Italy, Brazil, Philippines. Lifetime guarantee. They replaced a wooden bead that cracked asap and paid for shipping. I pray 15 mysteries on it every day.

I've bought about 10 nylon rosaries.
They don't make noise, so it is easy to lose one in a pocket, but then again, I haven't managed to damage one yet by having it in the washing machine when its left in a pocket.

You're selling me on the investment, especially since it's going to a family business.

I found what looks like a durable chain-type rosary on eBay.
Handmade Olive wood Rosary (https://www.ebay.com/itm/144266559000?hash=item2196f4fe18:g:I-YAAOSw44VhewJX&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoMdel76A%2BW2UDyAL1ftU87n6gsnxW9TIGifmYeAVAHT%2FJ%2FUDFQu37ySIOi1FoVFtF6Oy%2F38M987Oi9tNLBUhTD50AZC6TcpiG0RxzwBPL3ynmioEWkaS%2BARyt5E7hvcIKgAo%2BaG6d3zZ1oNjYYRioEp4XRBDbuED2BhjwGIkkrsM7ECcTLPm1%2Fo%2BQ6CXK40qQcvvXLvE%2Ft7YNbRYnl6XDEg%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR5qju_fnYA)
From this shop
Olive Orchard Rosaries (https://www.ebay.com/str/theoliveorchard?_trksid=p2349624.m3561.l49544)
They do have other beads such as glass and stone. I don’t have one, but they do look durable and I just may buy one.

Saw this one and ordered it. Deus Vult! :cowboy: I will remove the Divine Mercy medallion and replace it with a St Benedict medal
