  • Look.

Academically, those Catholic colleges are fine schools. They're good for kids who have a real shot of playing professional sports, especially basketball. They're good law and medical schools, especially the ones on the East Coast.

Theologically, they're absolute garbage. People have to stop looking at these schools for Catholicism because no one goes to them for Catholicism. It would be considered a miracle if anything orthodox were said in about 99% of those schools because they are majority non-Catholic. Your average American Catholic today, in 2018, is not going to go to Boston College or Fordham or Holy Cross and spending more than his parents' mortgage on a very high-quality education but theologically crap school. They're going to a state school for forty bucks a year and getting their Catholicism at the local parish or at the Newman Center where it has a chance of being solid.

Why would you even post this garbage?  That's scandalous.

  • I post these outrages because many of us know NOers and we need to spread the word about what is really going on at their "good" schools.  None of them will believe you unless you armed with facts.  It's not enough to express your opinion that the schools are rotten, you have to be able to show them what is actually going on because so many of them are deeply in denial about the true state of their "church", to which these schools belong.

The offense linked above would not being going on without at least the implicit cooperation of the local "bishop".

Holy Cross College is ranked the fourth BEST "Catholic" college in the US ! ! !  People pay attention to these rankings, even the ones by the WSJ.

    Newman Center is solid?

When I was in college, the Newman Center was into NO clown masses and NO gαy-lesbian masses. Cardinal Mahony would frequently visit them. They were more liberal with their experimentations and "revolutionary masses" than the local NO parishes.
    Lord have mercy.

When I was attending a Catholic college, we were required to take at least one theology class per semester. That is eight NO indoctrination courses before graduation, so you graduate with almost a minor in theology.
    Lord have mercy.

There's some Newman Centers that aren't that bad, honestly. It all depends on the diocese.

  • Academically, spiritually, atheleticly etc.   they are not Catholic colleges.   They are full of false teachers and false teachings.  They are blasphemous.

Catholic colleges are brainwashing students to become communist lawyers, doctors, professional athletes , etc.  and many have been brainwashed to become perverts in mortal sin.

These colleges that offend Jesus should be avoided all together.
Thanks for posting this because we all should be outraged.  It is surprising to see some here on Cathinfo defend evil colleges.
May God bless you and keep you

  • My husband's 1970 Catholic high school east coast education was more liberal and had sex Ed long before most public high schools.   Our public schools  were more traditional and had sewing cooking classes, classical music including Christmas songs in Latin. Sex Ed and liberalism came to our schools during 80's.

None other than the president of planned parenthood.

  • And, the Federal grants ( our money) pays these colleges to be this way!!  Catholic Schools that have sex education dodge the laws of the states (AZ in 1990).  I read these grants.  One stated "we are dodging the state law,  paying the following private schools: ST. Matthew, St. Vincent De Paul for $65,000 (1987)  It was a mormon Governor who wanted to know how it was that sex ed was being implemented against state laws.

The money talks!  When Federal grants are taken, those organizations and partnerships support the agenda of Marxism.

Yes, tell these people of the New Order, FSSP Indult, you are supporting the Marxist agenda! The dioceses are marxist!

  • I'm considering the idea that to kill this person would not be considered murder in God's eyes.  Holy crap, what an absolutely disgusting abomination.

They don't get a dime of federal money, otherwise they wouldn't be private schools.

Private schools get a lot of federal money.  Many of your comments indicate that you really don't know much but you think that you're extremely knowledgable.
