Double standard for women in the office
« on: July 18, 2018, 01:59:40 PM »
Regardless of the office dress code, women always show off more flesh -- below the neck, chest area, legs, knees/thighs, bare feet, etc. -- than any man would ever do (except maybe at the beach).

Even at the upper end of business casual, when men have to wear long sleeve button-down shirts -- women dress like in this picture. A mid-thigh skirt and a sleeveless blouse, and open-toe sandals that remind me of flip-flops!

Could you imagine a man dressing that way in a business setting? But men are in the office for business, to work, to get things done -- not to show themselves off like a piece of meat.

I'd say "not there to look pretty", but then I'd be talking about all the baubles, colors, etc. that women wear. Those things aren't necessarily immodest. But I'm focusing completely on the IMMODESTY issue.
How some women are hypocrites when they get all upset when men treat them like a piece of meat -- when they dress like one.

See the picture below? The men aren't showing *any* of their body except for their face and hands. The women, on the other hand, are showing all kinds of stuff.

Women who don't dress like men shouldn't expect to be taken *as seriously* as a man in the business world, or paid the same. It's that simple.

I've said this before, but at least the women who wear pantsuits are consistent. They want to earn the same as men, they are as serious about work and career as any man -- and they dress basically like men. Long grey (or other neutral color) slacks, a long sleeve shirt, and jacket. I would say they are disordered and all, but at least they have a leg to stand on when they demand equal pay, etc. Their choice of clothing projects that they are serious about work.

Women who show off ANY flesh at the office, more than an equivalent man, deserve to be taken less seriously. Getting paid 80%, 60%, or 50% as much as a man doing the same job is all fair game. After all, the woman must be there for other forms of compensation (landing a man -- for short or long term) anyhow, based on her dress.

If I came in to office dressed like any of the men, only my clothes were dirty or wrinkled, should I be taken as seriously as my peers? Of course not. What if I had sleeves missing, or came in dressed in shorts or bare foot sandals? Even worse. So the same should go for women. It's only fair. They want to be treated equally with men, right?

Seriously, think about it. Say you're an executive at a large company. You visit with 2 salespeople about purchasing a 1.5 million dollar piece of equipment. One is a man in typical business attire, and the other is a women in a mid-thigh skirt, sleeveless blouse, and you can see her "piggies" (toes) because she is wearing some kind of sandals.

Which of them seems more like an expert? Who seems more serious about their job? Who inspires confidence and trust? Who is likely to get your business?

And you wonder why women make less than men in the business world...

(Of course, some men would go with the female salesperson if she were attractive -- but it would only be because he saw her as a piece of meat, which he could potentially "use"...)

In other news, did you hear that the male/female wage gap exists, even in the world of "gig" jobs and jobs where you are the boss, such as Uber?

It's true! Men make more than women even at Uber, where you'd think there's no possible chance for the "big bad patriarchy" to do its thing.

However, it turns out that men are more aggressive, drive faster, are more bold in seeking clients, etc. and so they end up making more.

See? Nature wins again. Men are not women. Women are not men. They are very, very different. God made them that way "male and female He created them."
