Risk of scandalizing children - avoid watching the Rose Bowl Parade it will end with a gαy "marriage".

PASADENA, CA, December 19, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – It’s the West Coast equivalent of New York’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade – the world-famous Tournament of Roses Parade held each New Year’s Day in the Los Angeles suburb of Pasadena. The parade, featuring giant festive floats colored not with paint, but with millions of fresh-cut flowers, usually draws a huge crowd: Last year, an estimated 800,000 people showed up to watch in person, while another 80 million around the world watched on television.

This year, the event’s viewers will see more than just the family-friendly parade they’ve come to expect over the event’s more than 100-years-long history – they’ll also witness a controversial same-sex “wedding,” courtesy of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF).

According to the Pasadena Star News, a pair of ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ hair stylists will “marry” on the parade route while riding a wedding-cake shaped float sponsored by the AHF.

Danny Leclair, 45, and Aubrey Loots, 42, jointly own the DNA Salons hairstyling chain in Southern California.

Leclair, a Canadian, told the Star News that he and his South African-born boyfriend had not planned to get married any time soon, but after he entered a lottery to ride on the AHF’s float at a “gαy wedding” expo last fall, his name was drawn and they jumped at the chance.

“Having my relationship recognized legally is already a dream come true," Leclair said in an AHF press release. "To be able to declare my love to the world at large in hopes of inspiring others to live proudly and authentically is an enormous honor."

The first ever Rose Parade wedding was in 1989, when Carrie Humphries and Ron Simms tied the knot while riding a float in front of what media reports called “one of the largest audiences ever to witness a wedding ceremony.”

Last January, a Virginia couple, Nicole Angelillo and Gerald Sapienza, became only the second couple to get hitched during the parade, after winning a contest put on by Farmers Insurance to get married on top of “The Love Float.”

Only heterosɛҳuąƖ couples were eligible for the Farmers Insurance contest last year, since Proposition 8 had not yet been struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court. The company had initially planned to repeat the contest and do another wedding themed float in 2014, but changed its mind shortly after launching the contest, announcing it would honor teachers with its float instead.

  • One more reason to NOT watch it again this year...
I'll get more out of my traditional viewing of Braveheart anyway.

That was Father Frank Poncelet (R.I.P.).  He was one on the short list of priests who never said the Newmass.

There are a few threads about him here on CI.

    "Television is the devil's tabernacle."

Fr. Poncelet had a newsletter called "Our Lady's Apostolate for No TV," and he was the author of two books, Air Waves From Hell and Television: Prelude to Chaos.

People who would never have the Tabernacle of Our Lord in their home, welcome the devil's tabernacle with open arms, and they give it their undivided attention for hours on end, when they wouldn't think for a moment of having a Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament.

I know one man who was unfamiliar with a Holy Hour and the concept of Eucharistic Adoration, who showed up at church early after work one First Friday so he could be on time for the 5:00 pm scheduled Holy Hour.  He had to hurry over there after work to arrive before 5:00 in the afternoon.  Later he told me his impression of that experience.  He said, "I couldn't believe it.  Fr. came out and set the monstrance down in front of the tabernacle, and then he just walked away, and that was IT!  There was NOTHING HAPPENING for the next 54 minutes!  Just NOTHING.  A few people sat in the pews, reading books.  But I didn't know there was going to be all this DEAD AIR TIME, so I didn't bring anything to read.  It was incredible.  JUST NOTHING."

It was at that point that  I realized what TV has accomplished.  This man spends most every free moment at home watching TV.  His favorite pastime is vintage movies, with a little bit of specials and modern movies thrown into the mix for variety.  But his specialty is the old Westerns.  It is practically a religion.  The familiar 'stars' are demigods, and the 'value' of this 'entertainment' is something that he feels entitled to because he goes to work, punches a time clock (as it were) and does his job, as little as he wants to.  He endures all this so he has earned the 'right' to be 'entertained'.

So when he went to this "Holy Hour" at church, he expected to see some ACTION.  But there was no priest 'working the stage' and there was no acolytes prancing around with candles, or ANYTHING LIKE THAT.  There was just NOTHING.  And that made him feel like he was somehow cheated out of something.

P.S.  Is this the last post of 2013 on CI?

~  I guess it is, in the Pacific Standard Time Zone, anyway (GMT -8).

  • My wife and our family nanny tuned in to the latest BBC Sherlock tonight and even that has a ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ subplot.  I was catching up with emails and other work related stuff.

Lilyhammer on netflix has ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ subplots.  It's a shame because it looks like an entertaining main plot otherwise.

Wherever they can, they somehow crowbar a ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ scene into every piece of TV they are able.  It used to be 30 percent of shows now it is 80 to 90 percent as far as I can tell.

We might avoid TV, it is rarely on in my house and I disconnect the aerial except for the odd occasion, but the reality is that the people we have to mix with in the world in some manner or other are exposed wholesale to this normalisation of sodomy.

I sympathize with you, ggreg, for this Sodomite activism is growing like a cancer.

I have the blessing of knowing my friend's mother who is 83, and when she sees anything pro-Sodomite on TV or hears about it in conversation, she reacts vehemently.  I bless her for this because it is a visceral reaction that we are LOSING.

No less than 64 years ago (before the Third Secret was supposed to be released in 1960) it was commonplace for people to have a healthy and negative reaction to such talk.  But diabolical disorientation has been creeping in from all sides.

This 'news' of the Rose Parade abomination brings to the fore a new trend.

Just today I have seen announcements of a proliferation of public Sodomite so-called wedding ceremonies (they may be ceremonies but they're not weddings) being planned in imitation of what happened today in nearby Pasadena.

A friend of mine saw a TV news coverage that surprised me.  He said that a reporter went on the streets to interview people who had watched this atrocious blasphemy against God and everything holy for all to see, as the 'wedding cake' float drifted down Colorado Boulevard with the Sodomites aboard hugging each other and pinching their butts and stuff that they do now in public view.  You know, the kinds of things that was rampant in Sodom and Gomorrah before God's judgment befell them.

My friend told me that a good number of those interviewed on the street were NOT HAPPY with what they had observed happening.  I was surprised because I had expected that such negative impressions and criticisms would not have been aired.

We are entering the age when TWO of the sins that cry to heaven for vengeance have become rampant, and it has been made MANDATORY for us to tolerate them.

It is actually getting to be a HATE CRIME for you to express your disapproval of abortion or the sin of Sodom in public, just as it is now illegal in Germany to express your disagreement with the lies of the so-called h0Ɩ0cαųst.

The sins that cry to heaven for vengeance are four (4) in number:

    1)  The sin of Sodom
    2)  Willful murder of the innocent
    3)  Oppression of the poor
    4)  Denying a laborer his just wages

So we are clearly two-for-four now, and we're working on the other two with Obamacare (which will oppress the poor and confiscate the just wages of workers).

We are, as a nation, calling down upon us God's wrath.

  • Uganda seems to recognize the grotesque and unnatural behavior of pervert ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity.

Uganda Passes Anti-gαy Bill That Includes Life In Prison

    link

    Quote
Uganda's Parliament ignored Western criticism and passed a bill on Friday that punishes acts of ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity with prison terms that can include life in prison.

The bill has been a source of controversy for years. Western governments and leaders, including President Obama, have criticized the measure, which President Yoweri Museveni must sign for it to take effect.

The Anti-ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity Bill, it's actual name, also makes it a crime to "promote" ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity, which could mean simply offering HIV counseling.

It also makes it a crime punishable by five years in prison for renting an apartment to an LGBT person and not informing on your tenant to authorities.

"It's trying to make it impossible for people to have private lives," says Jessica Stern, executive director of the International gαy and Lesbian Human Rights Commission, based in New York.

"If you're perceived to be LGBT, no one's going to rent to you, for fear of their own criminal responsibility," she adds. "So if this law is enacted in its current form, it's basically a homelessness sentence for LGBT Ugandans."
Giles Muhame, managing editor of the Ugandan publication Rolling Stone, holds up a November 2010 issue of the newspaper in Kampala, after it published the names and photos of 14 men it identified as gαy.

The bill was composed with the help of American evangelical leaders who have close ties to the authors and promoters of the bill in Uganda.

"There are these factions of the evangelical community in the U.S. that believe they've more or less lost the fight against the ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ agenda," says Malika Zouhali Worrall, who co-directed the docuмentary . Kuchu is a word for "queer" in Uganda. "Therefore they're trying to pre-empt it in other countries."

    A Controversy For Years

When the bill was first introduced in 2009, it was dubbed the "Kill the gαys Bill" because of its death penalty provision. That was later removed, but it galvanized the LGBT community in Uganda, which mobilized international support and took on a cautious public role in Uganda.

Members of the community launched lawsuits fighting discrimination. Despite persecution and homophobic attacks, people kept speaking out. They even celebrated Pride Day with discreet but joyous gatherings this summer. Now those well-known activists could be thrown in prison.

"We've been betrayed. This is not a place we can call home," says activist John Wambere. He says the Ugandan LGBT community is discussing how to best approach Museveni, who has yet to sign the bill into law.

They're also trying to figure out how to stay safe in a country where mob attacks are commonplace. Wambere says that just a few weeks ago he heard some people on his street talking about him.

"They were like, 'These are the people when the law passes, we shall deal with them,' " Wambere said.

The bill puts Museveni in a bind. Western countries have threatened to withhold financial aid if the bill goes through. But the bill has wide public support in the country.

Frederick Golooba Mutebi, a columnist for the newspaper The East African, says it will be easier for the president to reject a second bill passed in Parliament on Friday. That measure outlaws miniskirts and other "suggestive" clothing.

"So I think since he has two things, he may trade one for the other one. And I can see him blocking the law against miniskirts and not the one against ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity," says Mutebi.

Both laws were celebrated today in some Ugandan newspaper editorials as "Christmas gifts" to the country.

20 years ago, I knew a Freemason who assured me that by the turn of the century, the world would become transformed into a new reality by the raw power of television, and that we had no idea of how much power it has over how people think about everything.  He also asked me if my Catholic faith wasn't really just a collage of experiences, a stacked memory of the smells of incense, of the sound of the bells ringing in the bell-tower and on the altar, of the sunbeams streaming through the stained glass windows, of the sound of the choir singing and the organ playing, of the voice of the priest saying the Latin prayers and preaching his sermon ―  "Isn't that what the Catholic religion is all about, your 'experience' in church?"

    He's dead now.  Poor man.

I searched for him on the Internet and found this:

It's a cute picture, but it has little to do with my old friend, who thought that the Christian faith is all subjective fantasy.

I believe it was Fr. Poncelet who coined the phrase,

    "The Devil's Tabernacle."

This is a most powerful term that Catholics should know and use.

A clearly demonic series like Jersey Shore should be nothing short of
evidence that television is indeed the devil's imitation, of the tabernacle
of Our Lord found in Catholic churches.

Why would anyone want to have the Devil's Tabernacle in their home?

It's a question you could not ask yourself if you ever read Fr. Poncelet's
    books or newsletters.

Why would anyone want to have the Devil's Tabernacle in their home?

This question should come back and give you pause for thought.

Why would anyone want to have the Devil's Tabernacle in their home?

I'm sure there are a lot of answers, but I highly doubt that there is a
single one that is any good, all considered.

Why would anyone want to have the Devil's Tabernacle in their home?

Remember Fr. Frank Poncelet in your prayers.  I'm sure Our Lady came
to his assistance in his time of need.  He did a lot of good in his lifetime.
