Because I have never heard of the priest having any say in bridal wear except, as stands to reason and decency, the modesty of the clothing.
Sorry if my comment seemed confusing, Nadir. I only meant to reference that in the U.S. I have seen that some traditional priests are SUPER strict and little things we might not think about and others just don't care.
At our local chapel for example (at least from what I have seen and heard) one is expected to have at least the top of one's head covered and ones shoulders and back for a wedding, but at the SSPX nearby your veil can be hanging halfway down your head off of a Barrett on the back and you can have a gaping wedding dress in the back. 😅
