I have 2 kids over 10 now, and I've been thinking about all those subjects that aren't covered in your typical Homeschool course:

Survivalism 101: why country is better than large city, what happens after a nuclear attack (how to survive it), what is EMP, what are the basic needs after a collapse scenario, etc.
vaccinations: why not to (teach them how the # of vaccines has skyrocketed since the 80's, now everyone is allergic, autism epidemic, etc.)
Teach how the FDA can't be trusted: ex-employees of company that created Aspartame end up (revolving door) at the FDA, etc.
Why growing your own food is better, what's wrong with Agri-business (watch "Food, Inc")
The system of "Corporations" in the United States - they have all the rights of a real person, etc. I saw one interesting docuмentary on this.
Monsanto and Bayer are evil -- literally nαzι level of evil
The MAINSTREAM MEDIA - how it lies, its liberal bias, etc.
What happened at Vatican II, the Crisis in the Church, history of Archbishop Lefebvre, etc.
REAL Economics: sound money, Gold, fiat currency, the circuмstances how we got a Central Bank in 1913 (Christmas eve, passed with skeleton crew), inflation, hyperinflation, how today's money system works, practical applications of all this to our daily lives (little debt as possible)
Why homeschooling is critical; the evils of public schools
What's wrong with American imperialism - what is a Neo-con? What's wrong with the Patriot Act, the truth about 9/11 (and Pearl Harbor, the attack on the USS Liberty, etc.)
The truth about ʝʊdɛօ-Masonry, Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ in the modern world
What is Liberalism?
What's wrong or unreal about certain Sci-fi topics (time travel, aliens, AI, etc.)
Catholic apologetics - especially arguing for Tradition against Novus Ordo-ites.
Arguments for Genesis account of creation, and how to debunk Evolution (I have this subject pretty well covered...)
And even to bring them up to speed with the last 5 years: The insane march to the Left, transgender movement, gender madness, etc.
Human Nature class - how men and women work psychologically, what to watch out for as a man and as a woman (listen to Abby Johnson explain what got her into abortion: it started by wanting to be pretty and attract boys attention)
Annette: A soul in Hell (note how the lost soul wasn't a murderer, thief, or even a whore! She was just VAIN and didn't pray. VERY scary!)

Now that I think about it, Bishop Williamson had the same thoughts as he was faced with forming a bunch of Seminarians who needed to be inoculated against the Modern World's errors. I have the same desire, only for my biological children instead. Same motivation though.

They need to understand WHY we do all the things we do, JUST WHAT IS WRONG with the modern world AND IN WHAT WAYS. If they can see the evil for themselves, they won't have to "trust me" on it -- they'll freely choose the same actions I have chosen.

I'm just looking for things to add to this list, ideas for how to teach these things, Youtube links, videos, docuмentaries, etc. because I need to start a real collection of these materials. It's time for me to create an out-and-out curriculum for "understanding the Modern World" because ignorance is NOT bliss.

I shudder to think where I'd be today if Thomas A. Nelson hadn't told me about Jєωιѕн machinations to control the money supply, and how they parlay that control into control over our choices and our daily lives (no homeschool, can't afford it! Wife has to work, etc.) I decided as a teenager I was going to minimize how much interest I paid. It worked out very well for me.

I meant what's unreal or conflicting with reality.
I love me a good time travel sci-fi book or movie. I also love space/planet exploration, etc. In fact, I enjoy sci-fi in general.
Other people like stories with fairies, magic, or other mythical creatures.
But they are both pure fantasy.

Yes, that is the video that I would recommend to teach how we got to where we are today regarding the Faith. 
That video, providentially, was given to me by someone,along with a rosary, a rosary instructional booklet,  a Brown Scapular and instructional booklet. Immediately, I understood what had happened during the 40 years I had been out of the Church.

Hmm.  With a few exceptions, this list looks like a pretty comprehensive collection of our dinner table topics.  Have you been listening in?
We also have 2 children over 10, and although I don't teach these subjects in school, their father discusses them at the table about once or twice a week or so.  And engages all the children in the conversation, so that they have a pretty good understanding of how sick the modern world is.  We're also blessed to be able to practice what we preach in regards to vaccinations, modern music/TV, raising our own food, and last but not least--Catholic apologetics.  
I agree that it's important to expose your children to these modern ideas and present the correct Catholic thought.  I also think these things are better absorbed coming from the Dad, rather than Mom in the school setting.  

I should add one good video to this list:

"After Armageddon" put out by the History Channel in 2010. It's about 1.5 hours. It's safe even for older kids to watch... there are a couple gunshots but they don't show the wounds. There is some heavy reality of course, due to the subject matter (pandemic flu, the protagonist cuts his hand, they get their car stolen, etc.), but other than that, completely safe. No 6th and 9th kind of stuff which is in SO many shows nowadays, even stuff rated PG.
