• I don't quite understand what I am supposed to do here regarding 'Titular'

Suffrage {default}
Ant. May the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, and all the Saints intercede for us with the Lord.

℣. The Lord hath made his holy one wonderful:
℟. The Lord will hear me when I cry unto him.

Prayer
At the letter N., the name of the Titular of the local church is said, if the title is not a divine person or a mystery of the Lord, and when the Office or a Commemoration was not already said of the Saint, and when the name is not already in the prayer. The names of the holy Angels and of St. John the Baptist, if they are titulars, are said before the name of St. Joseph. In all these cases, the words "blessed N." are omitted.
Let us pray.
O Lord, we ask thee to save us from dangers to mind and to body: and, by the intercession of the blessed and glorious Virgin Mother of God, blessed Joseph, the blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, blessed N. and all the Saints, to eliminate all enmity and errors, that thy Church may safely serve thee in freedom.
Through the same Jesus Christ, thy Son, Our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end.
℟. Amen.

Good Morning Anthony!

Starting from a Semi-duplex and moving down in rank, there is an additional Antiphon, Responsory, and Collect at Lauds and Vespers, called the Suffrage.

Titular refers to a particular patron Saint. I suppose that if the Offices were prayed in choir in a proper Church, the name of the titular Saint of that Church would be inserted. If there were any formality involved in the recital of the Office, then I suppose the Patron of that formality (church, congregation, sodality) would be inserted.

If the Office of the day is our Lady, and lower in rank than a Duplex, then Her Name is removed from the Suffrage, because the Collects, etc. are proper to the Office. This is rare because Her Feasts are normally greater than a Duplex, but there is the example of our Lady on Saturdays.

If you pray the Office privately and devotionally, as we do, then you may either insert the name of a special Patron, or simply omit it, moving to "and all the Saints." I am an aspiring TOSF, so I always insert the name of St. Francis when I pray the Suffrage.

Thus I pray as follows:

"Lord, we ask thee to save us from dangers to mind and to body: and, by the intercession of the blessed and glorious Virgin Mother of God, blessed Joseph, the blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, blessed Francis, and all the Saints, to eliminate all enmity and errors, that thy Church may safely serve thee in freedom....."

I sometimes used to pray the Office with Most Holy Trinity Seminary online (Bishop Sanborn's outfit). As the Most Holy Trinity is the "Patron Saint" of the Seminary (and perhaps for reasons unknown to me), they do not insert any other name into the Suffrage. I do not know, but presume that SGG inserts the name of St. Gertrude when they pray the Suffrage.

If you have a strong devotion to St. Anthony, you could insert his name.

If anyone with greater knowledge can answer this, I hope they will. And also correct me if I have misstated anything.

Thanks, I will add St Anthony to it since he is my patron saint, though there are a few other saints I read the works of, such at St Alphonsus and St John of the cross.
