    In person, if I'm at a social occasion and someone is making some theological point I disagree with, I'm apt to just let it slide.

    I think he was put off by some harassment he received from some followers of the Dimond Brothers.  He was already in a difficult family situation, one that was certainly exacerbated when he lost his job over the bumper sticker incident.

    I do hope he's not considering EO (that path has never made any sense to me, as the EOs are a mess), and apart from the post made above I've seen no indication that he was going in that direction.  Eastern Rite Catholic, yes ... but not EO.  Some people have a difficult time distinguishing between the two, for some reason, so the two often get conflated.


    Continued prayers for DL!

    He was getting into EO spirituality and reading Solovyov

    but was considering attending an Eastern Rite (Maronite?) liturgy.


    He was in a very difficult place with his family and a big move plus the difficulties with making sense of the crisis.

    Anyway, his presence here is missed and I'll continue to pray for him.
