One of the nation’s largest tea party groups, the Tea Party Patriots, said it rejected the IRS’s explanation and demanded the resignations of all officials involved. The group also called on President Obama to apologize for ignoring its concerns.
“The IRS has demonstrated the most disturbing, illegal and outrageous abuse of government power,” said Jenny Beth Martin, national coordinator of Tea Party Patriots. “This deliberate targeting and harassment of tea party groups reaches a new low in illegal government activity and overreach.”

And it's also why you still haven't gotten your stimulus check.

As for banking information, for purposes of PERSEC, one should have multiple accounts with multiple banks.  Any main checking/savings account should not be used when transacting electronically, or with outside third parties (e.g., IRS, PayPal, etc).  For this reason, the account provided to the IRS is not our main account, and at best, usually has only a couple of thousand dollars sitting in it, so it if it compromised, we aren't out all that much.

Still haven't received mine either and I filed my goy shekels on Feb 1st. I haven't even gotten my tax refund back yet either. The IRS is the most inefficient organization I've ever dealt with in my entire life.
.
Go to the IRS's portal and see if they have the info they need.
.
I also experienced a delay, and once I went to the portal I found out they didn't have the right info.  Once I entered it I received my Trumpbux about ten days later (yesterday, in fact).

Most of the people who received their checks already don’t have direct deposit.  Thanks for the tip about separate bank accounts. Good idea.

Yes, I got my information in there about 4-5 days ago ... but I haven't received my payment yet.  Good to know that it takes about 10 days.
