Though he quotes part of Canon 915 ("Those … obstinately persevering in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.”) in his 20 May 2022 "Letter to the faithful on the Notification sent to Speaker Nancy Peℓσѕι", nowhere does the word "excommunicated" appear.

Nor does it appear in his May 20, 2022, "Notification to the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the United States Congress Nancy Peℓσѕι".

Cordileone is a Novus Ordo conservative. He professes to be "pro-life" and favors the Latin Mass. I believe he ignored Traditionis Custodes by continuing to say "Mass" (not sure if it was Novus Ordo or Tridentine) in Latin in his cathedral.
