  • I wonder what the bishop did when he found out?

If you check out the link attached, you will find out for yourself that the bishop had a different and more pro-UN and pro-Masonic view of the situation.

The Bishop did allude to Our Lord allowing Himself to go through the crucifixion and that is true but it was Our Lord's destination to give Himself up for the sins of mankind and in the Garden of Olives Our Lord told His disciples that if His Kingdom was of this world a band of angels would come to his aid so Our Lord is not besmirching the concept of self-defense (which is what concealed carry is all about) and in a difference section of the gospels our Lord instructed the apostles to sell what they had a buy a sword.

Novus Ordo churches are holding Taise prayer so maybe a little gun talk would be appropriate also.

  • I shook my head over their bishop's comment - advising people to be sitting ducks!  That's fine if he wants to do so but to state that innocent children should be left open to massacre is disgusting.

In Phoenix we have an exploding population of Muslims.  We have a many strip malls that are predominately Muslim businesses.  Many are concerned that it is only a matter of time before they become radicalized.

It would only take one lone radical to walk into a crowded church on Sunday, yell "death to infidels", and slaughter a hundred people.  I don't think it is likely to happen soon, but it is certainly something to be aware of.

  • Great idea! Now all they have to do is apply the same reasoning to the Church of All Time and put a bullet in Vat II's ski-masked noggin.

  • A Michigan priest has rescinded his decisions to sponsor firearms-safety classes at his parish, on orders from his bishop.

Father Edward Fride had encouraged his congregation to purchase firearms for their personal protection, and had arranged for classes that would enable parishioners to qualify for a license to carry concealed weapons. “We’re not in Mayberry anymore,” he had said, recommending that families take action to protect themselves.

Bishop Earl Boyea of Lansing disagreed, issuing an order that firearms training should not take place on parish property. “That is his call to make and we will obviously follow his policy on this and on all decisions he makes,” Father Fride said.
