Description of a saintly wife
« on: March 05, 2025, 01:21:57 AM »
I am a former Novus Ordo catholic. As a wife and mother, I really want to know and learn to be a saintly traditional catholic wife and mother. The more I learn about tradition, the more I question what type of religion I belonged to in the past. It seems to me that the connection between the old and the new is lost. What is the definition of a devout catholic woman in the eyes of God? What are my rights and my duties? Any thoughts? And what books do you recommend?
Thanks.

I highly recommend the book "The Mirror of True Womanhood".  It was written in the 1883 by an Irish Catholic Priest.

Here is a link for a free pdf read of it.

Reading the lives of the saints may be helpful. There is a book called Married Saints and Blesseds Through the Centuries by Ferdinand Holbock with 100-200 little stories.

From God’s own mouth!
Proverbs 31:10-31
Commit to memory!

That’s what the entire middle school (US grades 6-8) did back in 1999 or 2000 after impure graffiti appeared first in the boys’ bathroom, and sadly, a bit in the girls’ bathroom, as well.
