I guess I mean more social customs...maybe there is a book and maybe the dynamics of family life...I remember reading a historical book that spoke of children standing while the parents ate, although I wouldn't so that it shows the difference in how parents were respected compared to today where children are little princes/ princesses and grow up disrespectful and spoiled.
We stand to say our before and after meal prayers. We have a Happy Birthday cake on Christmas and open presents on the Epiphany. We always start and end the day giving eachother a morning hug and kiss (yes, even the children to eachother). We wear Sunday best to Church, too.
