David Knight has a good interview with some tips on creating a self-sustaining community!

Good tips include: you or your homeschooled teens want to learn more and farmers always need added labor!

One other idea I read about recently was creating or just stocking a pond with fish that will reproduce and provide a long term protein source.

Also, people with land could rent out a mobile home or two on their property and create a small community right there.
