  • Dear Croagh Patrick,
Thank you so much for sharing your grandmother's memoriam card.  My study of Gaelic ended without success but I know it is beautiful to hear. Tears really started flowing when I got to "...may we sit at Mary's fireside..".

A story:  A visiting Irish priest went to a local Texas bookstore looking for books in Gaelic.  He almost decked the sales clerk who asked Fr why he would want a book in a DEAD LANGUAGE!  Fr. proceeded to prove to him that it was very much alive--without blows, thankfully.

    Thank you Texana!!

She was a wonderful soul and a true Gael and fantastic storyteller. She died at the ripe old age of 96 and was a fervent reciter of The Rosary. when my dear mother was dying we were all in the room together and she was conversing with her (that's our assumption). THe prayer you mentioned was written by her mother Bríd Bean Uí Bhaird (Bridget Ward), who has an even more interesting story which I can share.

I also am printing and selling the Rosary poem for help with our Apostolate here in Ireland and I tend to give them out more so to people who don't recite the Rosary more so than people who are devoted to it.

Thank you for your kind words. May God bless you and all of yours in this festive season.

    Nollaig shona duit!! Happy Christmas.

    Dear Croagh Patrick,
Happy Christmas to you and your family!  I would be honored to buy some of your cards to help your Apostolate and those who will receive them in our little chapel.  Please pm your information if you would like.
Please pray for Fr. J.-he was off the deep end into liberal novusordoland--he thought JPll was conservative.  He was an amazing storyteller though--people came just to hear his sermons.
    God bless.
