  • Of the 15,000 Muslims who converted to Christianity in 2011 in France, 7000 are Moroccan, reports the daily Al Massae quoting the magazine La Croix, that the majority of converts live in hiding their new religion of fear of persecution.

It would not be easy for Muslims to convert to Christianity, and because of the important role of Islam in daily life, which feel they have betrayed their religion and identity, explains pastor Antoine Schluster, official representative of the Protestant Federation of Immigrants to New Converts Cross magazine.

According to the same federation, six million Muslims convert to Christianity annually worldwide. Some Muslim associations established in France argue, on the other, the figure of 50,000 converts to Islam, just for 2011.

At least 20,000 Moroccans have converted to Christianity in Morocco, according to the Pew American research institute, which estimates the number of atheists in the country to nearly 10,000 people.

Dialogue: better than to convert? Good question for the Synod on the "new" evangelization. Therefore deliver the synod fathers this inquiry Magdi Cristiano Allam, this Egyptian-born Muslim convert Benedict XVI publicly baptized at St. Peter's in Rome during the Easter Vigil 2008. This is the 'beige room "which reproduces the text:

From Magdi Cristiano Allam (source of the traduction) :

ask the Pope who had the courage to give me the baptism, overcoming both the fear of Islamic vengeance and the internal resistance of the Church to welcome a delegation of Muslim converts to Christianity in Europe and the world . The idea that I immediately received with enthusiasm, Mohammed Christophe Bilek is, French-Algerian who founded the Association of Our Lady of Kabylia. Through its website it promotes the mission to convert Muslims to Christianity by a dialogue based on the certainty of our faith and Jesus' exhortation to which we must comply, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature "(Mark 16: 15-18).

As the phenomenon [conversion] is shrouded in secrecy so it is difficult to determine with certainty the number, but from various sources can be said that many Muslims embrace faith in Christ. In 2006, Sheikh Ahmad al-Qataani, interviewed by Al Jazeera, gave the following figures: "Every hour, 667 Muslims convert to Christianity. Everyday, 16,000 Muslims convert to Christianity. Every year, 6 million Muslims convert to Christianity. "Speaking yesterday in Paris, Bilek said that even in Saudi Arabia, birthplace of Islam and guardian of the two main Islamic places of worship, there would be 120,000 Muslim converts to Christianity. 2008 data indicate that Muslims were converted 5 million in Sudan, 250,000 in Malaysia, over 50 000 in Egypt, from 25 to 40,000 in Morocco, 50,000 in Iran, Iraq 5000, 10,000 in India , 10,000 in Afghanistan, 15,000 in Kazakhstan, 30,000 in Uzbekistan.

  • This is Amazing.  After reading a booklet put out by the American Bishops and the recent
talks by the so called Bishop of Rome Francis denouncing proselytism and "sheep stealing"       and no longer in the business of conversion.   And this includes Muslims, claiming like the
today's "Jєωs" they are the spiritual decedents of Abraham. And the Muslim religion is a
valid religion to go to heaven.
This must be the work of the supernatural. I hope the you are not kidding us, Poche!
