  • Have you consecrated yourself, your family and your home to the Sacred Heart of Jesus?  If you haven't read the promises of Our Lord, you will be amazed at how much He wants to reward us just for loving Him.

The Promises of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque

    1. "I will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life."
    2. "I will establish peace in their homes."
    3. "I will comfort them in their afflictions."
    4. "I will be their secure refuge during life, and above all in death."
    5. "I will bestow a large blessing upon all their undertakings."
    6. "Sinners shall find in My Heart the source and the infinite ocean of mercy."
    7. "Tepid souls shall grow fervent."
    8. "Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection."
    9. "I will bless every place where a picture of My Heart shall be set up and honored."
    10. "I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts."
    11. "Those who shall promote this devotion shall have their names written in My Heart, never to be blotted out."
    12. "I promise thee in the excessive mercy of My Heart that My all-powerful love will grant to all those who communicate on the First Friday in nine consecutive months, the grace of final penitence; they shall not die in My disgrace nor without receiving the Sacraments; My Divine heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment."

To learn more, talk to your priest about consecrating your family and your home to Our Lord.  If you and your family are not currently practicing the devotion of the First Fridays, talk to your priest about that also or listen to this interesting talk (18 min. long but he'll keep your attention so it will only seem like half that time.):

  • Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Our Lord is needed more than ever in these present days of confusion and woe.

It would be ideal if devotion to the Immaculate and Sorrowful Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary would be adopted as a means whereby to make the adoration and reparation we would make to the Sacred Heart of Jesus more well-pleasing before the Heavenly Father, meritorious, and efficacious.

One idea is to make the consecration to the Sacred Heart through Our Lady's Immaculate Heart. This would combine wonderfully this wholesome devotion with the teachings of St. Louis Marie regarding true devotion to Mary, the message of Our Lady of the Rosary at Fatima, and the doctrine that holds Our Lady to be the Mediatress of all graces and co-Redemptress.
Please ignore all that I have written regarding sedevacantism.

  • He does what He says.  There are so many riches to the spiritual life, the life of prayer, I wonder how many trads overlook this and think being a trad is enough.

I have a devotion to the Sacred Heart, this idea of being loved, of a God who is your Creator and your Savior and who knows more about you than you know about yourself.  What is it to be loved by your Creator and your Savior?  We can't possibly understand, we just have to accept and to be grateful.

I think a lot of this can't be put in words, but the freedom that comes from letting go of your ego, to make yourself putty in the hands of Jesus, is true liberation.  Do we want to be loved by God or by men?  How often do we strive for some kind of recognition from others, wanting them to be in awe of our intellect, of our wit, of our appearance, when instead we should be conscious of our nothingness, that we only have a shot at heaven because of His death.

Paraphrasing St. Paul, I want nothing on this Earth except more comprehension of what it means for God to be made man and die on the Cross.  Because once I truly understand that, if only to the best of my limited ability, I'm set, everything else that is good will flow from that.
Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.
