  • Was Mike simply quoting someone? Yes, where did Mike say that before? In our time though, many confessors can give bad advice sadly. Even indult priests could encourage on a soul to accept the errors of Vatican II and the New Mass as legitimate, although for all I know some may discourage that. It is best to stick with a SSPX priest though if you want a good confessor. Let us leave the jurisdiction issue aside though so as not to risk veering off from the topic of this thread.

  • Well, Mike must have meant something like that the confessors themselves are not the measure of sanctity. God Himself is the measure of sanctity of course, and confessors also must abide by that measure of sanctity.
